Interesting comment re: Quick Picks
BobP Nonsense by Catlin. None of the Quick Picks make any attempt to checkwhat was previously issued before generating your tickets. ... A little background info on Catlin, from the back cover of the book: Don Catlin, professor emeritus at the University of Massachusetts, knows his way around the numbers. Running an office Powerball pool is discouraging
The odds of winning in any of several ways with multiple tickets in a single drawing can't be calculated this way. If it could, then a 1/9 chance of winning with 1 ticket would mean all you had to do to guarantee a win would be buy 9 tickets; and that's not true. In the Ohio Rolling Cash5, there are 510136 different losing combinations in any drawing; so, in order to guarantee a win, you'd have to purchase 510137 tickets, each with a unique combination. I'm sure there is an easier way to make

Which gives me a better chance of winning a lottery?
KY Floyd I'm sure Coin Toss is busy thinking, but there's still 80% ofitthat isn't alcohol . As long as you so easily recognizethat twice as much alcohol makes the drink twice as strong, canyou explain why it wouldn't seem obvious that having twice asmany tickets for the lottery would make you twice as likely towin? I honestly don't think itrequiresunderstanding the math. I reallythink that for the most part theproblem is that people usefaulty math to convince themselves that theintuitive (a

Member of "Watertown 34" wins lottery again
Athena Rush of Watertown, South Dakota, claimed the $200,000 Powerball prize she won in the drawing of November 10th. Rush matched the five white balls, but not the red Powerball to win the game's second prize. Rush missed the jackpot by one number, but said the excitement isn't any different than winning the jackpot. She would know. Rush was a member of The Watertown 34, the group of Minnesota Rubber workers that won a $50.9 million Powerball prize nearly five years ago. My feet still

Lucky Lotto Picks System by "Pete Egeler"
Lets talk about pick three systems for a minute here folks. OK, as far as pick 3 systems go the easiest way to get a win in any lottery game is to shoot for a 6-way box with 3 unique numbers, because it offers the best odds of winning a a small cash prize. We all know that it feels good to win, and winning is fun, but there is a difference between winning and making a net profit over the long run. Now if you start playing $25-30 a week on pick three using 3 unique numbers you are going to win no
