Scratch-Off Payouts
Greetings. I am new to this forum, so forgive me if this is an old topic.
I frequently play scratch-off games in New Jersey (where I live) and New York (where I work). I am completely frustrated with the payout system of these games. Some examples:
- Caribbean Cruise Poker ($2, NJ): beat the dealer's hand in all 5 of my hands! $1.00 win for each hand ($5.00 total) for this incredible feat
- Lucky Lines ($3, NJ): completed 5 lines, $1.00 win on each line ($5.00 total); in my opinion, the

KY Floyd,
What is your problem ? It seems as though every time someone else does something, or starts a thread such as this, you've got nothing but negative thoughts to say about it. Did someone pee in your cherrios today, yesterday, last week, last month or whenever.?
After reading some of your comments about this< I wonder if you would have said the same thing to say Bill Gates when he was testing his software. Or maybe Gen. Westmorland when he was in Vietnam .

Delaware Raffle Sold Out
To my amazement, Delaware sold out their raffle. Sales picked up after they coupled it with Powerball quickpicks I noticed. Here's the text of the story from the News Journal:

Make your own luck with Lotto
As Australia suffers through a post-Christmas financial hangover, Lotto services have pooled their money to create the biggest draw in Australia`s history $33 million.
Saturday Gold Lotto`s $33 million Mega Draw on December 30 has drawn hordes of would-be millionaires to newsagents across the country.
The employees at Peter Kennedy`s two newsagencies, which have sold eight first-division prizes between them, say they have been run off their feet in preparation for the draw.

Odds Don't Change When Jackpot Goes UP
The enemy has 100,000 troops and you are alone scouting, if you attack the odds are 1in100,000 or 1 versus 100,000.
Your buddy shows up, the odds are now 2vs100,000 or 1in50,000 because each of your share to take on is half the 100,000.
Unless you're Israeli Commandos I'd say you have a problem!

20% chance of winning, still play?
1) We haven't - the dynamics have changed too much.
2) It depends on what the 'same thing' is.
3) There are few successful lottery players, period. What is your definition of 'successful' ? To some, it's making $3 back on a one dollar ticket, to others, it's winning 5 numbers, to others it's hitting the jackpot. I don't know anyone that is playing the lottery SPECIFICALLY to
win $3.
4) Your opinion, you are entitled to it, I have no problem disagreeing with you, apparently you d

MegaMillions and Quick Pick
What kind of control are you alleging that MegaMillions exerts? Are you saying that they control 70% of the numbers from the 5/56 and 1/46 pools, or are you saying that they control 70% of the combinations played on any given drawing? How are they exercising this control? If you're saying that the Quick Picks are somehow skewed, then wouldn't there have to be some sort of interface between the mechanical drawings and the RNGs that generate those Qick Picks? Otherwise, how would there be any mean

Revealed: How To Win The Lottery
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/25102006/140/revealed-win-lottery.html
A group of university professors and maths experts has revealed the secret of their ?5.2m lottery win. The 17-member syndicate had tried - and failed - for years to land a large sum. Like many people, each member chose their own line of numbers and then waited with crossed their fingers.
But they decided to use their brains and came up with a winning scheme.
All of the 49 lottery numbers were written on separate pieces of
