Using Lotto Systems
Absolutely true, but if conditions are met is a BIG disclaimer . What I've found from backtesting hundreds of systems over the last 10 years or so is that if you do the math associated with If conditions are met , or backtest with real data for a sufficiently long period, the odds ALWAYS reduce to what they should be, and no better (and no worse). Using a REALLY simple analogy for Pick 3: I can play the 5 all even triples (000, 222, 444, 666, 888) and say if conditions are met for the next dr

Draw games versus Scratch-offs?
I am not much a fan of scratchers, myself. I don't have the self-control necessary not to scratch it off right away, so the entertainment value is very minimal, very short-lived. The odds on some of them are better than most or even all the draw games, but the scratcher mid and top prizes are not very high. So for example, I could spend $10 on a scratcher with like 1:3.7 odds, and justify a $10 per play for the odds being better than even 1:4. However, the entertainment value will be ove

Georgia Lottery denies millions in prizes to winners of scratch-off games
Innocent til' proven guilty i still believe in. They weren't charged with a crime, so they're innocent regardless. Whether or not they won legitimately is a civil matter, and that's determined by the preponderance of the evidence. I have a customer who spends $100 or more EVERY DAY and he wins a lot. And what kind of prizes does he win a lot of? At overall odds of 1 in 3 he could be expected to win 20 or 30 prizes a day if he's buying mostly $1 tickets with a few $2 tickets, b

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
I'll try a few, but I'm limiting myself to $100 while I'm there so I don't go overboard. I try playing some FL Lottery Gold Rush, and Flamingo scratchers today. Encountered almost all duds. I'm thinking I'll try one of the $30 Billionaires Club, one $30 Cash Spectacular, and possibly a couple $20 tickets or random $10 and lower tickets. I do like that some of the Georgia $2 scratchoffs have a top prize of $100k, and at decent odds too. The overall odds of winning on $2 scratchoff tickets in Geor

One ticket sold in Indiana wins $435 million Powerball jackpot
I know. That was all on the old matrix/odds though. Since the odds were changed we have not had a Jackpot winner in Michigan. Also, in the over three years since Mega Millions changed their matrix/odds we have had only one Jackpot winner in Michigan. Three Years!!! Going over Three Years with only one Jackpot winner is a record for Michigan. I can only imagine how the smaller states feel. Come on, the odds are too high. Keep on playing you say? I have been playing f

The Real Reason Why The Powerball Lottery Game Jackpot Will Be Impossible To Win At Odds Of 1:292M
Not sure the lottery would earn much on interest. Rates on safe investments are very low. And funds held as cash may earn little to zero, or even below zero interest (some banks charge fees for those with very large balances). Also, unlike Ohio Lotto, which rolled for years, a PB jackpot is unlikely to rollover for more than a few months. In short, interest is peanuts compared to simply selling more tickets at near 50% markup on a large jackpot. As for impossibility, the Mega Millions jackpot

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
The asterisk * is usually not a good sign for a game. It typically means one of two things: The game was shipped to the Florida Lottery in more than one shipment which happens when a very large game like the Billion Dollar Blockbuster or 100X the Cash come out. This is typically not a big deal and should not have an effect on the overall odds of a game; or The game was reordered which was the case for the 100X and many other games. This is typically a bad sign because when a game is reorder

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
My reasoning is based on the fact that I personally do not care much about the smaller prizes (though I will be very happy if I do win a smaller prize). So, the way I look at it is what is the probability of picking one of the12 top prize tickets from a pool of 72 million tickets? If I have 20 chances to pick one of 12 from the pool of 72 million tickets, my odds are 1 in 300,000. Also, as mrcraft and others have pointed out, these odds are not accurate because some tickets may never be part

Monopoly Millionaires game
Well, the 1.28 million tickets was a doubling sales scenario. MUSL actually only projects $3,135,234 in sales for next Friday (and they actually overestimated this past drawing), which means the odds would be 1 in 34,835.93 given there is a top prize winner. But I think it's important to stress given there is a top prize winner. Those odds sound great, but that is basically cherry-picking with the idea that you would get those odds. Like you said, the chances are against there even being a winne

It's getting hot in here - pick 3 and Pick 4 Are the games to play
If I do play, which is seldom, it is almost always the numbers games. I refuse to play a lottery game that basically robs middle-tier prize winners: Game Outcome Prize Payout Odds of Outcome Notes 3-ball Exact order match $500 1 in 1,000 Lottery and winner split the odds evenly. Mega Millions 3 white balls + bonus ball $50 1 in 10,720 Not only are the odds much worse, but also the prize is much lower!!! They pay you 1/10th of what you would have won with similar odds in the 3-ball,
