Scenario: You have won over $200 mil and you inundated with calls for help- do you move or stay?
Change the cellphone number asap, arrange security for my home, immediately leave town for at least a month where I can think and plan in peace. I'd hope the worst of the storm would be over by then but I don't believe it would be the end of it. Not for a long time, unfortunately.
Not allowed to build high fences where we live and the thought of putting up with beggars and belligerents showing up at my door would drive me batty and make me feel unsafe. Not interested in being a hermit either.

Scenario: You have won over $200 mil and you inundated with calls for help- do you move or stay?
The Missouri lottery used to have a section on What To Do When You Win on their FAQ page but I don't see it anymore since the site has been revamped.
Anyway, they suggested changing phone numbers, getting a P.O. Box, and blowing town for a while.
I guess that assumes your place wouldn't get trashed while you were gone or they should have added hired 24 hour security.
Of noise-gate's choices in the OP I'm with Mattapan, eventually you'd have to move, but of the choices chabnge your phone

Post your scratch ticket results
I found 1 $100 GRT over the weekend. Unforunately that was the only win I found and it only got me back to break even for the day. And unfortunately, I kept playing.
Specifically, I was looking for brand new rolls starting with #000 for any of the $20-$25 games. What I've learned is that if #000 is a loser and has code NEW , the roll should be avoid like the plague for at least 9-10 tickets. Otherwise, if it's a loser with another code, play the odds as a winner should be near.

Dream Numbers needed
In my dream I went to work and parked my car in the parking lot. When I came out my car was not there. I went back into some kind of waiting room/lobby area and told the two male security guards at the desk My car is missing..I think someone stole it ...The man asked me what kind of car did I have. I told him a black honda. He said let me go check...I waited a long time while waiting there was a guy sitting next to me who had my earring. He bent it..I said why did you bend my earring. The guard

I'm looking forward to quitting my job
Don't forget about all those who were pulling for you in this forum.
I can't think of a single person here who won't quit their day jobs once their jackpot arrives. ...and not a moment too soon.

Lottery winner's lifetime of money gone in weeks
Which also makes me wonder why he felt the need to purchase all those darn money orders in the first place
There are certain income and resource restrictions in order for you to be eligible for the benefits, says Patti Patterson, a Social Security Administration spokesperson. So you can only have so much in the bank.
By Purchasing The Money Orders,The Money Would Not Be In His Account,Where It Would Jeopardize His Eligibility.

Do you sign your tickets?
Something else to add, it was about a year ago i was playing quick draw alot and given it involves soo many numbers i wanted to use a highlighter for easy matching. So i called the lottery inquiring if i could do that. I was told it is not recommended. Only the original ticket is acceptable as they do not honor copies or any ticket that has been blemished in any way. I was told there have been cases where people marked their tickets and those tickets were not honored for various reasons mostly d

Announcing Winners to the public?
I actually believe winners names should be published to assure complete faith in the systems. When I hear about someone claiming anonymously, I instantly question whether or not it's on the up and up especially huge jackpots. I'm sure i'm not the only one. If I won, I would publicly pick up that huge check, give the press conference and answer all questions.
If you win something like 2 or 4 million it barely raises any eyebrows so i'm sure you would be good to go. However, if you win one of t

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Thanks. Yeah, I saw the other thread later on too, after the fact. At this point, I can't delete my post here, so you may want to reference it.
I forgot to mention that independent auditors are also involved, so there's another layer.
I believe the article was in response to the scandal involving a corrupt lottery security official that knew where winning tickets were being sold, and sent his cronies to buy up rolls/packs of tickets to win the top prize.

Question? How does one deposit $550 million in the Bank?
Any registered bank that is available in your area can tend to the funds. It will take another 21 days after you even deposit it for it to be available. ....So consider it 4 weeks til the check comes and another 3 weeks til you can utlize.. THE SEC (security Exchange Commissions) is the one responisble for the rules and regulations that a Bank must honor for banking procedures. Unsure why the disillusion that anything over 250,000 k cannot be deposited. Its a false statement. I wouldn't trust WE
