I think the best approach is to invest back any winnings that are not reasonable. If you win $1000 there is no point in dividing that out. But if you win $50K, then $5K per person is not a bad place to start. It's a good motivation to keep people psyched up. I wouldn't join a syndicate that plays just the jackpot knowing from the start that the odds are clearly against us. I would gladly join a syndicate that plays the multipliers.
