Michigan Fantasy Five
I have never lived in a state where a RNG is used to select lottery numbers. I lived in New York State close enough to The New York - Pennsylvania border that I did drive over to PA and buy many Pennsylvania Lottery Millionaire Raffle tickets which uses an RNG. Although I'm not generally in favor of RNG's, I was willing to play The Millionaire Raffle because the odds were so low to win a million bucks (125,000 to 1) that I looked past the fact that an RNG is used to select the winning raffle tic

I need some history checking software
I see the game is a pick-6 of 28 with odds of 1 in 376740. Looks like a fun game.
I found a website that has some interesting statistics you may want to have a look.

Buying More Tickets Lowers the Odds
If you take it personal, that's on you.
It reminded me of a conversation I had about a photo finish and place bet payoffs at a racetrack. When I commented it makes no difference who was first or second, the place bet will pay the same, I was told if a long shot won the race and the favorite ran second, the place payoffs would be lower for the favorite . Right or wrong the track made the final decision on how much to pay.
The same is true with odds v chances v probability. While th

Florida Lottery updates Fantasy 5, adds additional daily drawing
Same odds, just lower payouts.
That's precisely what happened. Maybe it will cause an uptick in ticket sales. Maybe it wont. That remains to be seen. Cant really tell right now because there is a win $25 instantly promotion going on.
The midday draw jackpots will be less than $100,000 while the evening drawing will see jackpots over $100,000. That tells me that the majority of players will pass on the midday draw in favor of the evening. And remember too that Fantasy5 is a pari-mutuel g

I see they finally updated the jackpot estimate to $100,000
The least they could do is pay better for the lower tier prizes
They still have 4/5 estimated at $100
That is a pretty horrible payout to battle 1: 2,432 odds

NY Dream Team 2023
Matt, I started working from home recently. I am now saving some commuting time which makes it possible for me to stop by here. I am very grateful for the wisdom and knowledge of the old timers here like Loon , Mrs. 446 and Long Odds, Tiger and even Soledad, because he is very knowledgeable. I am still learning the game after all these years. I need to be consistent and learn the tools of the trade. This site keeps me in the loop otherwise, I'll forget how to play the game and get rusty. I think

Playing same ticket multiple times for the same draw
I used to do that for the All or Nothing game. Tix cost $2, and I would play the same or alternating numbers 5 times. Top prize is $250,000, 5 times would be $1,250,000. Cost $10. I liked the game for the overall odds, 1 in 4.5.
Best I ever won was $250 ($50 x 5). I quit on it because of cost and the fact I had to buy tix every day. The way Texas set up the game is there are 4 draws a day, like Pick 3 and Daily 4. But you can't buy say, a night draw in advance. If you want to buy advance dra

Florida Fantasy-5 Players
Here's a quick and dirty way to calculate a rough estimate of how much money The Florida Lottery took in for any given draw. (The Take)
To win a Free Ticket the odds are 1 in 8.39 (One out of every eight lines sold wins a Free Ticket)
1 in 8 equals one eighth of all lines sold. So because there were 78,074 Free Tickets won last night there were approximately 625,000 lines sold - which translates to a little more than $625,000 of sales or the take. G5

Florida Fantasy-5 Players
Definitely tougher than it appears and I suppose the FL Lottery laughs at everyone who thought it wouldn't be hard to win! Obviously, the odds are better but it still isn't easy to predict. They do quite well on this game since it doesn't have the rollover. Which really makes you mad when you realize they were still trying to figure out how to make even more money off of it. Saturday usually has the largest amount of players. I believe G5 has posted before the number of tickets that need to be p
