Go for the GUS-DOUGH in PA-PICK 3
lol marne! That just might be the threat he needs to hear, he wants to stick around for the Millionaire Raffle and count his dough. He's got to

Trouble in FLA?
Starting Monday, Fla players who purchase a $5 Sherlock Holmes ticket with a Lucky stamp at a 7/11 will receive a free $2 Holiday Tripler scratch-off.
It's similar to what they're doing with the $20 raffle tix that aren't selling, where if you buy one between now and 12/24 they'll give you a $2 scratch-off.

Oklahoma Lottery sales hurt by lagging economy
You know, I noticed several states dropped their raffles this year -- terrible decision IMHO -- even my own NJ! The NJ Lottery sold out their raffle every year AFAIK -- can't believe they axed it.
(You can see all the states with raffles on the Event Calendar page.)

Would You Spend $20 On A Raffle Ticket?
I hope you're right Nino, that they keep the original drawing date and the same prizes. I just bought another VA raffle ticket today and they still have 267,600 to sell in the next 20 days. They've only sold 16,000 in the last week. It'll be interesting to see what happens. I can't see them sticking to schedule though if it's going to be a money loser for them. I still have a feeling that people are waiting for the middle numbers though. I got a good feelin' about this one (like I always do, LOL

Would You Spend $20 On A Raffle Ticket?
That's cheesy. They offer a free $2 scratch off if you're willing to waste your gas to drive all the way to a district office. I think there are a whopping 8 of them in the state. And it's also unfair to individuals who bought raffle tickets last month, who received no incentives at all.
It doesn't really make much of a difference though, because I doubt they're going to sell all the tickets even with this little ploy.

Would You Spend $20 On A Raffle Ticket?
They may be getting worried. They're offering anyone who brings in a raffle ticket to a district office purchased between now and the 24th a $2 scratch-off. Top prize is $20,000. Probably not the most enticing offer considering this particular scratch-off hasn't sold very well.
Also, if you spend $10 while you're there you get to spin a wheel for a $100 gas card, and other prizes.

Would you be upset if you gave a lottery ticket as a gift and it was a million dollar winner?
Only if I were playing the same game.
I bought my sister a Virginia Lottery Millionaires' Raffle Ticket for her birthday. If she wins, I do not think I will be upset if she wins because I did not play the game myself. But, if I had bought two tickets at the same time, one for myself and one for my sister, and my sister's ticket turned out to be a winning ticket and mine did not, then I would be quite upset.

Would You Spend $20 On A Raffle Ticket?
They'll still hold the drawing on December 31st, but I can't imagine them keeping the prize amounts the same if they don't sell all the tickets. How could they? The total amount of money they were planning to pay out in total was $10,075,000...which would require 503,750 tickets to be sold in order to cover that amount in full. They were planning on keeping the remaining $9,925,000, or 49.63% of the sales. The odd part is that the official game rules make no mention of a reduction in prize payou

Would you be upset if you gave a lottery ticket as a gift and it was a million dollar winner?
I routinely buy Raffle Tickets for close family members. Nothing would make me happier than seeing them win. I wouldn't expect a kickback or be mad if I didn't get one either but I know that every one of them would insist on splitting with me. They also buy tickets for me and that's what I would do without thinking about it if I won also. I don't understand how anybody could regret making a family member rich.
I like Joker17's idea about pre-scratched scratchers for certain in-laws though, lo

How does your state's lottery odds compare with other states? Are they fair?
Have to say IL is one of the best. We have cool stuffs like raffle, 2nd chance drawing, bonus pick 3 drawing, and a bunch of win for life scratchers. Our progressive pick 5 is better than some states pick 6 games. No joke
I am shocked when I look at surrounding states lottery and realized how awful they are.
