Would You Spend $20 On A Raffle Ticket?
In Pennsylvania, there are 500,000 tickets printed for the Millionaire Raffle. It is held twice a year. Here are the prizes:
Top Prize (4) $1,000,000 Odds 1:125,000
Second Prize (4) $100,000 Odds 1:125,000
Third Prize (100) $1000 Odds 1:5000
Fourth Prize (5892) $100 Odds 1:85
For a total of 6000 prizes ... The pot is $5,089,200 ... Odds 1:83
In the past, I have purchased three $20 tickets for this game. I missed a $100 Prize by 1 number in the last game.
Now, I will buy

Ohio New Years Raffle Starts November 20th!
You tried spreading our your purchases and didn't do any better? Odd because I would tend to think that given the nature of random drawings, out of 500,000 tickets, you would have a better chance of winning if you had tickets spaced out such as 011034, 038205, 146053, 356823, (and so on) rather than having tickets 014500 - 014510 together. Then again, I suppose the chances of one of those 10 being a winner are just as good as winning with the 10 spaced out numbers. You just have to pray that the

Ohio New Years Raffle Starts November 20th!
Wish I could play it, I like the raffles. I like your idea of buying a block of tickets too. I would have liked to have done that in the Virginia Raffle too if it wasn't for the fact that my wife might have hit me upside the head with a cast iron frying pan.
Good luck to ya!

Only 109,999 chances I won't win a million? - Here's my $20! - Gimme a raffle ticket!
Coin Toss
Correct me here because I don't understand how they could run the raffle at $1 and still have comparable odds which is the attraction for this game. At $1 a ticket wouldn't they have to sell 20 times as many tickets to have the same prize allotment and thereby make the odds a lot worse?

Illinois Lottery Halloween raffle awards treats for grownups
I like your idea of the multiple 100k winners instead of the 4 millionaires.
Wish somebody would do that with a raffle sometime.

Your Opinion is needed please!
It amazes me of the way people see things. Playing numbers is wrong, but what about buying raffle tickets? Isn't that a form of gambling?
This wouldn't be the first time, nor the last, that the bible was hypocritical in it's teachings.

Where do you buy your tickets?--Poll
I hate to sound negative but have you noticed how dull the new The Lottery Changed My Life shows are? I mean they state that the people won the lottery then goes on to tell the story of how their lives are going now but doesn't seem to connect with the lottery. They could have been documentaries on Any subject any channel. I think about the wiccan winner and aside from his purchases of the cars with only a ticket in hand, nothing from the show really showed the good (or even bad) side of the lot

Florida Lottery Raffle drawing crowns 7 new millionaires
Todd, I don't see how you could possibly view my comment as negative or a criticism of your software. I was offering an explanation and even said that the results you post are always accurate. I also didn't say using a zero in front of a number was unique to Lottery Post. I have a Fantasy 5 ticket in front of me now and the 2 is 02. If it was 0002, it would still be 2, right? I was only trying to figure out what the complaint was all about, since it didn't make any sense to me, especially the co

Florida Lottery Raffle drawing crowns 7 new millionaires
How could you have 6 of the numbers? First of all, it's not the same as Lotto or Powerball. The number of digits you have doesn't matter. It's a raffle, which means the numbers are printed in order like 000001, 000002, 000003 up to 750000. You either get the winning number or you don't. If you have , for example, 603437, you didn't get 5 out of 6 just because 603436 won $1,000,000. It isn't 6-0-3-4-3-6. If your number wasn't picked, then you didn't get any of the numbers.
