alot of players stopped playing because of all of the repeating of the same number!! Reminds me of when players complained when Tennessee went over a month with no doubles in their pick-3 and pick-4 drawings. I guess it didn't occur to them the odds dropped from 1:1000 to 1:720 and from 1:10,000 to 1:5040 in the pick-4. If the same numbers are repeating, why aren't you making a killing play the same numbers ? Just wondering.

While it's true, Eddie Tipton proved computer drawings can be rigged and Nick Perry proved live ball drawings can be too, neither benefited the lotteries they were working for. Joe, like CoinToss said. It's a classic case of I didn't win, so it's rigged. They don't think rationally. I actually find it amusing that it seems to always be a newbie that will sign up on a site dedicated to lottery play, and the first post is it's rigged . Really, those people just can't wrap their heads around the odds of jackpot games, even the state lotto games. But, it's funny to watch them cry.

I can see where and why the enthusiasm is so great here but, to be honest, Australia's Cash 3 is not shabby at all with its' AUS 590.30 payout. This is marginally better than most states which are set at only 500:1, including Texas where I'm at. In my honest opinion, had you spent that money on developing your Cash 3 strategy, which has much greater odds of winning than the 1-25 game, you'd be landing wins in the form of a percentage of the payout which could actually fund the cost of the other

Lotto 6/47 Probability Question
I can work out one thing but not another. I know that if you played 20 lines twice a week for a year, the probability you'd win the jackpot at least once during that year is 1 - (1 - 20/10737573)^104 = 0.00019369372287 = odds of 1 in 5163. The problem I'm having trouble working out is the probability you'd win the second place prize at least once during that year.
