Fantasy 5 will have worse odds than Daily 3 unless you match 5 of 5 numbers at some point in your life. The reason is that most of the prize money goes to funding the top prize which you are unlikely to win. Daily 3 has more realistic odds that you can actually expect to win at least once in your life.
my point was that compared to scratchers, Daily 3 could be an interesting alternative. Take a look at the odds of winning $5000 on a scratcher. The $10 scratcher with the best odds of winning $

Will we ever see a double win?
Okay I think I get what you're saying.
If someone buys a PB ticket, the odds of them hitting the jackpot are 1 in 175,223,510 regardless whether they also bought a MM ticket and won/lost. Yet the odds of hitting PB given that you also hit MM if you only buy 1 ticket each (as you say, starting now) would be 1 in 45.4 quadrillion. It's almost paradoxical.
I've seen retrospective oohs and aahs here over people who had multiple big hits spread over years.
Similar to how the experts quote Gi

Massive Ohio Lotto jackpot finally won
I dont get how the PB and even more so the MM's could be fun to play. The odds in the PB and even more the new MM are astronomical. You will most likely never win the jackpot or even the second tier prizes because of the odds.
The MM's went from 175 million to one to 258,890,850 to one. The PB's currents odds are what the MM's used to be 175 million to one. The CL is 13,983,816 to one. I pray to god they dont mess with the CL, its just fine as it is. The CL clearly has the best odds for winni

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
I swear, man. They do that every time. I got a similar answer when GRT was first released--they touted it as being the newest addition to the Gold Rush family--offering the best odds EVER for prizes of $30 -$500.... So I wrote them-- even with good odds of 1:196 in GRT to win $500, the odds are not at all the best ever. The original Gold Rush was 1:175....and then I realized that they were saying it's the best odds at winning $30-$500 because THERE WASN'T previously a $30 prize level! Ha, rememb

Georgia Lottery Scratch Offs
Looking at the odds on all the new tickets. $2 Fast 100's actually have good odds to win $100. Its 1 in 374! They actually didn't lie about that lol.
I'll definitely be buying 5-10 of these at a time at some point. Looks like you'll mostly be winning ticket, $3 or $10 which isn't bad.
15X has typical odds of any $3 ticket that isn't a crossword. $1 EZ Bucks is bad like all of those $1 tickets.
$5 600,000 Rich has pretty typical $5 ticket odds. It does have one of the best od

cash odds: 1 in 7.62 !!!!!! For a $10 game, this seems pretty ridiculous. The other $10 scratcher cash odds are much lower
This is mainly because they combined the $10 and Ticket value prizes together on this 20X Crossword game. If they instead broke out the 4.2M ticket value prizes into 1.8M Ticket and 2.42M $10 prizes, similar to other games, then the cash odds would be 1 in 4.48 instead.
I don't really care too much about the cash odds versus overall odds, as any small value wins are j

Mega Millions multi-state lottery to get harder to win in Oct.
Players will choose five of 75 white balls and one of 15 gold balls. and The changes coming for Mega Millions will keep the overall odds of winning some prize at 1 in 40,
The odds of matching one of the bonus numbers is 14 to 1 and to keep the overall odds at 40 to 1 means there will be no payoff for matching the bonus number. The odds of matching 5 + 0 will be 17,259,390 which is higher than a 6/49 lotto game.
The only thing that might make it worthwhile playing this game is when the ja

No PB Winner- but ONE winner out of millions for 2nd prize? Sucks bigtime.
That is because the odds of matching only 5 balls with PB are far worse than the odds of matching only 5 balls with MM.
MM odds (5 balls only): 1 in 3,904,701
PB odds (5 balls only): 1 in 5,153,633
It gets even worse. If you count the cost of PB ($2) vs the cost of MM($1), the odds of MM if you spend $2 are actually 1 in 1,952,350
You are more 2.6x more likely to match 5 balls with MM given the same amount of money spent.

End of game schedule / Top prizes not yet claimed
The main thing you're missing is the middle man: the distributor/vendor. They run everything. The state lottery guys don't have the expertise in house, it is contracted out to the distributor. Also, 1-in-7,000,000 odds are pretty extreme on scratch games, which are likely in the 1-in-1,000,000 ballpark, more or less.
You'd be surpised how many tickets they go through. Take California for instance. We got about 20,000 retailers. So if a game has 1-in-1,000,000 odds, and that batch is printed i

Do we lottery players have any rights in game changes?
I'm with you on this one maringoman. Despite the fact that Hot Lotto is an RNG game, which I tend to not completely trust, I have always done well under the current format winning in about 1 in 10 lines where the average odds of winning any prize are 1 in 16.1. I don't get how the overall odds will only go up to 1:17.2 when they're adding 8 white balls. Are they reducing the number of hot balls down from 19???
Anyways living in Mass do you play Lucky for Life at all? The odds of hitting
