watch out for NYS retailers Some are scamming you big time
In God we trust only. And if the clerk claims to be God, has a halo, a pair angel wings, and and is sitting on a golden throne; Check his I.D. first to be sure. I believe God's I.D. has the raised watermarked background, with a 3-D holographic projection. If the I.D. passes this security test, you should be all set to trust whatever verdict he gives you, concerning the winnings of your ticket!!!

RL's Digit Master Pro Big Game software download.
Hi RL, Thanks for the feedback and will keep my eye open for any future updates. I see there isn't an option to load a draw history, and was thinking this feature might eliminate the need for you to constantly maintain databases (not sure if/how this will impact on the security of your code though). I am also of the opinion that people should engage with the particular games they play and maintaining their own draw history is one way of doing this (one has to at least do SOME work). Even t

Store owner tried to scam woman out of lottery winnings
The Louisiana Lottery security folks are the heros of this story. The easy thing would be to ignore the scratched out name and simply pay out the prize. But they lifted the crossed out signature, figured out the spelling in the signature, and actually managed to track down the person whose signature was crossed out. That is some FANTASTIC detective work. HATS OFF to the Lousiana Lottery for caring to check it out, and having the wherewithal to track down the real winner.

Michigan couple killed after lottery win
This is a sad story, however if the father won big on the pick 3 or pick 4 and the amount is not over $600.00 those tickets can be cashed in at anytime. The house may have been a known drug house, however her father hit the numbers big on pick 3 or either pick 4 and you have people that normally play Their tickets 100-200 times a game and that is a big win so technically the police should get the security tape at the store where the father purchased the tickets And then get a print out

Lottery winner recounts harassment after claiming prize
Lifelock, that ol'scam, everything Lifelock claims to do you can do your self or is already done and can be done quite easily plus their guarantee has so much BS written into it that it's basically worthless. My favorite part is all that advertising they did with Todd Davis giving out his Social Security number to prove how secure their system is to only have Lifelock completely fail in protecting it. Wouldn't have done him any good, his identity was probably compromised before he won as

Arkansas woman loses bid for $1M lottery ticket picked from trash
An Arkansas woman who cashed a $1 million lottery ticket may have to give up the winnings to a woman who threw away the ticket after she bought it, according to a judge's ruling Tuesday. The judge decided that Sharon Duncan was entitled to the prize money, not Sharon Jones, who claimed the prize money after she took the ticket from a trash can of discarded lottery tickets at a convenience store in Beebe, a city about 40 miles northeast of Little Rock. Jones' attorney, James Simpson, said h

Maryland Lottery Director says online sales coming
Illinois has online sales, state residents only, and you have to give them your social security number and a credit card number to play. Considering major bansk, government agencies and others have been hacked I'd say at this point not for me. Hacking into an online lottery website with SSANs and credit card numbers would be a hackers dream come true. No thanks.

2nd Powerball winner from Rhode Island announced
Congrats to Ms. Last! RI privacy laws suck, but cannot say I have ever heard about a bad person from that state. I think she ought to be ok, besides she's got the money now to put in a top of the line security system on her home.

Is Mirlande Wilson an Attention Seeking Fraud, or Have the Winning Ticket?
If that is the case, this will not go well for her. With all the security protocols and people talking, it wouldn't take much of a break to expose her schemes. And if this is the case, it is sad because Mirlande and her 15 other lottery pool members, all could have easily retired for life off the $105 million after taxes windfall. This could have gone so differently, and had a happy ending were it not for one greedy person.
