7-7-7 was a lucky day!!
but the original post was from someone that said they won a raffle .....that wouldn't indicate that he was on to something other than sheer luck.
Sorry...i should have clarified. The person I was referring to was as On to something was Rubblehead, not the subject of the story, which was the scratch winner.

Mass. Lottery sweepstakes winner collects $20M prize
They already have tons of games like that -- they are called scratch games!
If the raffles awarded prizes no bigger than a second-place Mega Millions prize, they would not sell too many tickets. Then there would be no raffle at all!

New York Lottery Raffle to Riches results
Wow I think the lotteries are overestimating their sales potential. It looks like this raffle didn't even sell 900,000 tickets. That is 600,000 or $12 million short of what they wanted to and they still awarded all prizes.

Pennsylvania Lottery Millionaire Raffle results
Another flop for me. The game is fixed. I was less than 10,000 away from the million, and only 12 away from winning a $1,000. That would have been better than nothing. I only got 2 tickets and I am glad I did not spend more. I still do not believe the tickets sold out, and there is no way to prove they did. Especially since they only list the top 10 winners if they even claim the prizes. This is my last time playing rip-off raffle.

Those "raffle" lottery games
sirbad
Think about how many losers there are on the powerball and mega millions on a daily basis. $20 even buys a far better chance at winning a million dollars than $10,000 on powerball. 1:584,432. Sure most will lose, but at least 8 will win a million or $100,000
A Powerball dollar that wins wins at least a share of $15,000,000 to start with. So let's assume a solo hit and beofre taxes, cash optionetc...that dollar turns into a 15 million dollar dollar . The best a raffle dollar can

N.C. Lottery Millionaire Raffle sells out
I would have been surprised if it didn't. After all, Florida had 1.5 million tickets that sold out. I don't agree with extending the date which was done for another raffle. A deal is a deal. You have a certain time in which to buy a ticket and the players who spend the money within that period should be guaranteed a win if their numbers are drawn. If the rules originally read if tickets aren't sold out, we'll extend the date it would be different. A player has to abide by set rules, no
