Big Jackpots over 50 million
They tried that with the Monopoly disaster a few years ago.
If you want better odds and smaller jackpots, play the state lotto.
It's been proven that PB and MM sales go up dramatically when there is a big jackpot. So if they change the games where there are lots of million dollar winners, but not a big jackpot to win, the game will die. And there are million dollar second prizes already.

Let's talk 2nd chance lottery on scratch offs
I've only been playing scratchoffs for a bit over a year, but I have done my research. The abysmal returns that players are complaining about are due partially due to the pressures that the government places on the lottery for funding. Federal funding for education has declined with the anticipation that the lottery would bridge the gap in many states. The Florida Lottery's Bright Future scholarship continues to offer a lower percentage of tuition coverage despite the record number of ticket sal

Why Powerball?
Point taken.
Still, for $6 a week, $1 MM, and $2 PB, again chump change, why not be in both games.
The odds on both games are stratospheric.

Powerball's Not Such A Tough Guy
Ahhh....Mr Powerball. A lottery player's dream. A lottery player's nightmare.
We have such a love/hate relationship with him.
At 69 numbers, do we even stand a chance? Well...
Let's look at some facts.
Research is your best friend when going up against such an opponent.
He boasts 69 numbers. I say, hogwash!
1,083 jackpots have been won in the range of 1-49 numbers.
I know most people buy quick picks but don't you hate getting those ones with all crazy high numbers?

I used to win more
The New York Lottery instant scratch off games is one of the worst, if not the worst ever offered to the public. Been playing for over a decade and am saddened that the biggest win is $1,000, and that was almost ten years ago. The last time I won $500 was about five years ago.
There's a new batch of $10 tickets that came out last year (one with a top prize of $600 and the other offering only three prizes, $25, $50 or $100, the overall chances of winning on that ticket are one in 6.9).

KENO : How to configure your keno way tickets by LV Author & Expert
I skimmed through this thread, but did not see any clear methods for calculating the odds.
To calculate the total number of combinations I use the following code:
Public Function Calc_Permutations(ByVal Base As Integer, ByVal Digits As Integer) As Long
m_Base = Base
m_Digits = Digits
Dim BaseSum As Long = 1
Dim DigitsSum As Long = 1
For DC = 0 To Digits - 1
BaseSum = BaseSum * (Base - DC)
DigitsSum = DigitsSum * (Digits - DC)

The new lure is to increase the odds of winning lower tier prizes. And people are buying them like they're gold.
Go figure.
You're right. Makes sense for the lottery because people are more likely to put small wins back into the lottery, while with a larger win people will use at least some of it for a non lottery purpose. I stopped buying scratchers a couple of year ago and the games have only gotten worse but people are still buying the higher $$$ tickets.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Tough to say when that next $3M will pop on the old Gold Rush. Since someone won $3M in Fort Lauderdale a month or two ago, I personally wouldn't play that game for another 1-2 months at least. Essentially, you're playing for a chance to win up to $100k instead of $3M. The odds of winning $100k are pretty good on the $20 Gold Rush compared to other games, however. I've noticed that at the current rate of sales, the $3M prizes on Gold Rush have been popping every 3-6 months.
Even though

I am in Florida also. Definately less winners on their scratch off's. Stick to the brand new one's that come out. Try just buying one dollar for a while. You can buy more at once with better odds. Then take that winning and move up to higher price scratch. I noticed there are fewer winning scratch offs. Try and notice when they put a new roll in. I think they stack the front end. Also, I have one on the very last ticket. I am disappointed lately in Florida lottery scratch offs. And all of their
