Michigan Lottery to debut $50 'Super Raffle' tickets
well first off the $2million is paid out in an annutity.....not cash! they save $700,000 per winner there. secondly, this sad state of mich is looking to make some quick cash at the expense of those who can least afford it. and before you start giving me all the arguements on gaming I know them all and gamble within a budget.but those who don't look at this as a way of getting out of their sitituation. This state simply put , plays on peoples natural greed. So at $50 a pop....i just beleive that

Michigan Lottery to debut $50 'Super Raffle' tickets
Well I supose if I were at that place in Jackson that sold the top prize $650,000 winners for two raffle draws in a row I would buy a ticket. I am going to be realllllllllllyyyyyyyyy suspicious if they sell a $1,300,000 winning ticket. I'm not going to buy any more tickets if Jackson winds up with all the prizes anyway...what is the point?
*IF* I buy a ticket I wont be playing the Fantasy 5 for a long time.

Michigan Lottery to debut $50 'Super Raffle' tickets
These tickets will certainly sell out in less than a week. Every time I go to the store I run into someone who says 50 bucks is no object to them. Most are ticked off that they waited too long, and missed out on getting one of the 20 dollar tickets in the last raffle. They say on the State website, that they are only doing this 50 dollar thing once this year, LOL! we will see about that! I have a hunch, the price of these raffles is still to be determined.

what is the most you've ever spent in one day?
I forgot about the raffle. If we're counting raffles it would be $20 on one drawing.
Not sure we should count them thoug, as there's a long time between going on sale and the drawing.

Wiscosin's million dollar draw.
It's better odds than Megabucks or Powerball. But there's no fun involved in trying to figure out the winning numbers.
Then again, they may not sell all the tickets before the raffle closes. If so, that will decrease the odds of everyone having their ticket drawn, and upset our lottery officials. I'm not buying one because raffles don't appeal to me.

I look at it like this... (odds of winning)
...... hey, only have the Powerball and the Raffle game, when there is one in PA .... lots of chances with the other games also, I guess .... it's the time thing .... I don't have 10 years ... it has to be now or never .... I look at it like prospecting for gold .... you get a few flakes or a small nugget ... maybe a glory hole ... but it's the mother lode that we all seek .... but very few will live long enough to find it or hit the big one !!! .... but you have to try .... y

strike the lotto
You are correct in the cost-cutting areas rank in priority lower than increasing revenue due to new sales. But this is in real business, run by real business people. Most state lotteries are staffed by govt workers; not IMHO, the cream of the business-savy crop. They have the Union Mentality.
Add to this (especially in WI ) the fact that there is a limited market. OUr state population is about 5 million, and they are obviously NOT all lottery players. The members of LP do not, I feel, rep
