N.C. Lottery chief refutes state study
Alice Garland has written a very good letter in defense of her State's lottery.
No she hasn't. All she did was present an argument, which sounds plausible, claiming that the amount of money the study estimated isn't being collected may be higher than the amount that's really lost as a result of winning tickets being claimed by people who didn't actually buy them.
Of course the lottery doesn't need to be defended, at least not in relation to people selling winning tickets in an effort to

Which techniques work? How do you increase chances of winning?
Simply.
You increase your chances of winning by buying more tickets.
But, the odds in jackpot games are so high, that you probably can't afford to buy enough tix to really make much of a difference.

Yup, did that 50/50 thing a while back myself. It's a good start at least...ha
When I first joined here, I had a system right off the bat. 0-9 in the first position, and guess the back pair. 10 bucks would get you 500 in return, and the odds would drop from 10 in a 1,000.....to 10 in a hundred.
Till this day I'm wracking my brain on how to exploit this huge advantage.

No more large MM or PB jackpots anymore?
That is up to the lottery commissions. Then again my advice is to search through this site and see what is happening.
The odds are too much on big jackpot lotteries and you have a better chance at your state level.
Also there are people out there especially the ones that live in a grey area everyday lifestyle and get too excited for the big games.
One thing I have noticed since being a platinum member this past two weeks is that it gives me more confidence to play when I fee

Florida Holiday Millionaire Raffle 2016
Yep!
If it ends with only 600k tickets sold, the odds will be roughly 1 in 86k at winning the $1M prize or the second place $50k prize. Not bad, certain worth throwing down $20 in my opinion.
With 16 days remaining (counting today), ticket sales would need to average 14,000 per day just to hit the 600k mark. That estimate is looking good, unless there's a last minute surge within sales.

Yes when I first started winning on tickets I got confused too by the same thing. I thought they gave different amounts on different days, or had special promotions for special numbers, or holidays...lol. When you win on a double you get double the amount for a box. It all relates to the odds of the number coming up I believe. The chances of a double number coming up are less, because there are less combinations to play, so you win more. So a $1 box win on an all single digit number, i.e. 392 is

Bought 5 $30 tickets-- guess what I won
Thirty dollars for a single Scratcher is decadent. During my run with the 30th Anniversary, California's first (and so far last) $30 game, I managed 2 $200 winners and 1 $500 winner. As well as a a few $100.00 prizes. Those 3 biggest winners were single-purchases, and I recall chasing some rolls that did not yield much of anything. It may just be coincidence, but the time I lost 3 thousand dollars in a few days was during this same period.
High-priced tickets can be relentless like at an

Am I normal?
I've quit scratch offs altogether....odds suck....
I think the thought pattern goes, if I have a line in the water I might catch a fish. problem is, if the fish aren't there you're wasting your time and bait($)....
Draw games give me more entertainment,, which is what lottery should be.

Update: Players sue Delaware Lottery for $2M over disputed Keno tickets
Anyone who isn't a complete moron should know that lotteries frequently pay out very large amounts of money to players.
Anyone who isn't a complete moron should also know that if a game with high odds has the same winning numbers several drawings in a row there's likely to be a problem. That means they shouldn't be surprised if they don't get paid for anything after the first game with the repeated results.
The players who were smart made small bets, cashed their tickets in right away, and
