My plan is to try to slow down big time, and if/when I play be sensible. Buying books at a time isn't a sustainable playing style so a change needs to happen. I think I might buy 1 or 2 of the Millionaire Raffle tickets each week for the drawings, but that's it. With $2 tickets, there's decent prizes out there and it is just generally more economical. What is up with the past few drawings? It was brought up in another topic. The powerplay 2 again. 61 gets drawn 3rd time. I think that megamillions is better to play but yes I know the odds are something else.

Thanks Dragon for that sound advice. I am not a gamer, the only person I know who has a gambling problem is my step brother. I have heard of those stories, one ticket is all you need to win and buying packs or being compulsive will not increase my odds. I am not rich or well off by any means, I scratched away money that was saved for starting my own business and now I cannot do that. Pick 3 is far superior than Pick 4. The thing to remember is not to get burned out from playing too many numbers. I took a long break from playing Pick 3 this past January because of it. The last 4 sets of numbers that I had planned to play for that month (before I took a break) came out. Feeling burned out can make you angry and depressed if you do not stick to your game plan(which I failed to do). It should be possible to trap the 5 winning numbers within a list of 30. If selecting 30 numbers at random the odds are good for trapping 4 of the 5 around 75% of the time in a 5-39 matrix. Normally I don't work directly with numbers so it's something new to me. Most of my analysis is based on other stuff. I was hoping someone here would already have something worked out they would share. Guess not. RL

I am looking for a series of methods that don't have to be monitored. The method I mentioned above can be turned into a user adjustable filter which makes it much more powerful. Lets say I build a string with 25 numbers form the last however many games. It's almost a sure bet that at least one and less than five will be in the next drawing. Since there would be 14 numbers outside the string and we could cull any 5 number combo coming from the 14 which would give us a 2002 reduction.
