I'm talking about the 1 in 1.2T odds mentioned in the article specifically which is independent of how much you play. You can play a 100 or 1000 games, the odds above are not going to change since odds of winning those big prizes are calculated based solely on odds of each of those two games. On the other hand, the more you play the more chances you have of winning something which is common sense and you can't combine both. I don't know how else to explain it further.

I'm not getting your point. If a game has 4 of 8 top prizes remaining (that would be half), but I don't know how many tickets are remaining, I don't know if my odds of winning are good or bad. If this game was 90% sold, I would definitely play. My odds of winning the top prize are 5 times better. But if the game is only 10% sold, I would definitely not play. If a person truly believes the lottery is cheating players, then why continue to buy tickets? My belief is with jackpot games the odds are the culprit. MM odds over 1 in 302 MILLION. PB odds over 1 in 292 MILLION. Our Cash 5 game is 1-35 numbers, odds 1 in 324,632. There are 3 or 4 draws without a winner each week, sales are usually about 150,000 - 190,000 tickets per draw. Play for fun, don't take it so serious.

Nope. Do a searcch here on LP for does an additional ticket cut the odds in half? There is one and only one set of numbers that wons the jackpot. the odds are based on the tital number of combinations possible. Each additional set of numbers played reduces the overall odds by one combination, it does not cut the odds in half.
