$2M Michigan lottery winner defends use of food stamps
Sorry louise not buying your argument! The people you mention do get tax breaks from the Gov't. However UNLIKE the lotto millioniare using food stamps, Ross Perot, Donald Trump, and Blackwater CREATE JOBS! Unlike the lotto mooch who create's nothing. Also did you know that Entitlements take up more money than the defense budget? The 10% of Earners in this country pay for 60% of taxes! The bottom 20-30% pay NOTHING or get refunds from the gov't because of special tax credits. When these entitleme

$2M Michigan lottery winner defends use of food stamps
Good points, dr65, thank you. Therefore, I have decided to reverse my thoughts to agree. After all, even if someone is only allotted $5000 a year for a bridge card or whatever aid ... $5000 multiplied by hundreds of people in a state who didn't actually NEED those monies adds up to millions of debt in a state annually; let alone huge debt/bankruptcy over a decade. It makes sense, once someone receives $2+ million dollars GROSS in lottery winnings, that a bridge card and/or any other county,

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
I can answer that..YES..I AM USING MY OWN SYSTEM...but I have studied RANDOM over 20 years and had to engineer NUMEROUS SOLUTIONS TO QUITE A FEW numerical obstacles that presented itself in my research..and some of those numerical problems took me several years to find a solution for... SINCE I have read a little bit in this thread about QUICK PICS AND PLAYER SYSTEMS, let me shed a little TRUTHFUL LIGHT on the subject..and I hope that at least some of you has the IQ capacity to understan

Interest In Backtesting and Simulating Lottery Systems
There are dozens of real lottery systems alive and well on the American continent. Simulating one instead of using any of the real ones seems redundant and a lot less trustworthy than using one with a cadre of overseers and a security infrastructure. Backtesting is primarily a tool intended to assist in narrowing the avenues of approach to developing a system intended to predict lottery draw results. But backtesting a simulated system seems an empty exercize. In fact, the ultimate test for

Store Clerk Playing Unfair? Is This Legal?
Unfortunately, the Cruise for Cash $5 Scratcher does NOT have a $500K Top Prize. I think you are mistaken ;) P.S - Whats wrong with the store owner security gaurd paying/playing scratch offs? They dont work at the FL Lottery Commision, therefore they are allowed to play. I dont see what this is an issue?

Store Clerk Playing Unfair? Is This Legal?
Hello Everyone, Ok I wanted to ask everyone's opinion on this. I have stopped going to a store that I used to go to here locally close to me, becasue one day I was playing my normal lottery tickets and I saw the clerk and the security guard working there getting scratch off tickets the clerk would give him 4 scratch off tickets he scratched it in the bottom and then she would just check it for him, it's clear to me they were looking for a winner, this got me upset. Becasue I believe this

Tennessee's biggest Powerball winner keeps low profile
Totally agree. The vast majority of lottery winners don't implode and end up on social security! Just imagine how many big winners there are per year across the world - yet the focus is nearly always on the handful of bad news stories?? But I guess if we don't want 'idiot lottery winner' TV shows, it's up to us to complain to the TV companies to say so. Wouldn't it be great to see a show where winners take you through their new happy, wealthy lives? That's a show I'd much rather watch.

Man gets 23 years for robbing Illinois lottery winner
I know in Maryland I can claim annonymously. Not only that, I will claim it via a trust. I have seared in my wife's mind that we are not going to be telling anyone except family, and even then, we will only share that we have come into money, never divulge how much we have. Family will take your butt out also. There have been too many Lottery winners murdered, shot, poisoned, stabbed, you name it. My houses will be fortified with state of the art security measures, Rottweilers, and a ca

$319M lottery winners revealed
Anyway, hand of fate or whatever, congratulations to the winners. Also, I'm glad the article mentioned whether the winning ticket was a Quick Pick because it gives Quick Pick players, hope: not that there's anything wrong with playing one's set of numbers. It is a matter of preference, and any strategies that can land you a winning -- is all you need to get by -- and hopefully retire. Now, some of the winners aren't ready to retire, and I was just purusing at some of the ages: some of the win
