Connecticut Lottery launches its first $50 scratch-off ticket
Not necessarily. It depends on the odds of winning the prize. Having very good odds (relatively speaking) of a $50 ticket winning a $4 million prize can be a very good lottery buy.
Massachusetts: $50 ticket has a $25 million top prize, odds of 1 in 10,080,000 Connecticut: $50 ticket has a $4 million top prize, odds of 1 in 1,333,333
Now, you tell me which one is the better buy. There is no right answer, but I'm interested in hearing reasoned opinions.

Is the Powerball jackpots rigged by the Multi State Lottery Association? ( MUSL)
The reason is number of tickets (lines sold) which is population. Also CA spends more money per person on tickets. They buy a lot!
If in all states that play only one single person in the State bought a ticket, but in California every person in the State bought a ticket, the odds of the line of numbers coming up for everyone in all States is the same, 292 million to one.
BUT 40 million lines of numbers mean the odds for California wining go way up. Just like if you buy $10 dollars worth

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
So now the odds are 292, 201, 288, anjdx that's a fact Jack.
So, it's a fact (Jack) that odds are expressed as just a single number?
You appear to think that mathematics is a loose concept that can be changed to fit whatever narrative you want to propose. Which, of course, it is not. Mathematics are a factual way of stating something, and I've already provided it in detail. If you want to make up a different way to say how hard a lottery is to win, then that's fine. Just don't call it

Michigan ticket printing error!!
30+30+20+20?
In PA each game has two documents you can download online one gives odds...the other gives instructions on the game. On the odds form it shows odd by each prize and does so by breakdown.
So it would show $100 prize $50+50. Then the odds of winning it
They $100 prize $30+$30+$20+20 and the odds of winning it

PA's $50 ticket coming 12/27-12/28
I watched the YouTube video. The poster does a good job with his videos. Watching all those losers one after the other makes ya not feel so bad when you get 2 or 3 in row. Overall tickets have been very tight so far this year. A major shift I've seen has been from matching numbers to symbols. Seems like if you don't get a symbol your odds of winning drop significantly. Between symbols and bonus areas to pay there is little to no space left to match numbers. The state of the games have become sad

Do you play PB & MM despite the jackpot size or..
I buy PB tickets regardless of the size of the jackpot, because I'm much more interested in winning PB's second place prize than I am a jackpot.
PB's second place prize carries odds of about 11 million to one. I live in Florida. Florida Lotto's odds of winning a jackpot are double that of PB's second place prize (they're almost 23 million to 1) and many times it's jackpot is less than 5 million. Just like PB, Florida Lotto is drawn on Wednesday's and Saturday's, costs two dollars per line, a

My questions about Scratchers
AND, with the odds stacked as they are, is there really any better odds in the cards that charge 10, 20 or 30 dollars? Sure the top prizes are bigger, but that's just the lure. I suspect they cannot possibly offer better odds because the same restriction of where the physical winning cards are is the same. You do not have access to pick any one of every card in a given game. This question I can never get answered by anyone that answers any official lottery contact number in NY, NJ, or Pennsylvan

Total number of scratch off tickets by game in FL
Does Florida post overall odds?
In PA I look at the overall odds which are posted on PA lottery website. For example a $10 game may have 5 Jackpots at $500k. Looking at the odds chart the odds of winning $500k are 1 in 1, 000,000.
If there are 5 top prizes there are 5 million total tickets.
