UK Lotto players furious over 5-number payout
This happened in Florida on 8/28/2012 with Fantasy 5. The normal payout for a single winner is about $200,000. Odds of getting all 5 are 1 in 377,000. However, the winning numbers were: 1 3 5 7 9 The prize for each of the 98 winners was $1,995 If you pick common numbers, this is a risk you take.

The secret to winning lottery with Scratch off's
Great read but I think you proved the original posters point. The gameis not random for the lottery but it is for the player. As you said you narrowed down what series a top prize may be in then the lottery Gods change up the packs in order to make more money first. The casual player will not be savvy enough to track books and figure it out. For the middle of the road player you could also figure this out by simply checking your lottery site to see the remaining prizes. For example here in GA on

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
You know its sad that I get excited for finally winning something on the $2,000,000 Unfortune game. I decided I was not going to let that game keep beating me, so I bought 3 tickets (#003-#005) at Publix, went to my car, scratched them. All 3 losers. I went back in and bought 3 more off the same roll (#000-#002), First 2 losers, then #000 $100 winner. Thats the first $2,000,000 Unfortune I found with a winner over $30. Even though I hit 5 losers in a row and in the end I lost $50, I was excit

21 Club system
yeah that's probably a little more than 10,000 draws. Probably not enough time to really show much. And definitely not very useful for anything we are doing here. I don't think we are thinking about probability and odds much differently, but you are using probability of events that happen much more often, so they become more useful on the smaller scales you are talking about. BA asked how often we would see a repeat like that, that's why I was coming up with it. Maybe not very useful, but

Multi-state lottery game coming to Wyoming
It is good for more states to add games. Because you never know what type of game you may hit on. The lower tier prizes are pretty good for their payouts, but... The more states that are added to this type of game reduces the chances of bringing home one jackpot winner . The current cash option is about $5.75 million before taxes. But $25K for Life sounds good to most people. 10 Ways To Win Drawings are held Monday and Thursday, at approximately 10:35 pm eastern time. Winning nu

PA Millionaire Raffle- St. Patrick's Day Edition
Only bought one ticket this time, and actually won something. Hit for $100. Not a huge win, but still surprised to see my number match. The better than normal odds of winning a prize paid off for many: 1 in ~51.6 verses 1 in ~83.3. In the most recent PA Bulletin, there's no mention of any new raffle. Furthermore, the press release tonight makes no mention either. Seems the PA raffle is done. Time will tell. It's possible, PA will switch back to twice per year, in which case, the next raffle w

PA Millionaire Raffle- St. Patrick's Day Edition
The four $1 million top-prize raffle ticket numbers selected were: 64525, 121846, 187015, and 291226. The four $100,000 second-tier prize raffle ticket numbers selected were: 23678, 58112, 115824, and 165025. Looks like someone who waited until the day of sales won a million bucks. 309,639 tickets were sold (62%, worst ever in 23 drawings), 1.1 million dollars in profit for the lottery. Odds of hitting 1 million or 100K were 1 in 77,410.

Post your scratch ticket results
I bought two $20 Max-A-Millions today (#27 and #28), intending to quit (at least temporarily) if both were losers. The last scratch on the second ticket was a $30 prize...they just had to string me along to keep me in the game . Or maybe it was because I switched back to my birthyear nickel (which scratched most of my winners) for my final Scratcher instead of the guitar pick (I love how it can scratch so precisely) that scratched a bunch of losers. GetReal720, thanks for the advice. I am kin

Multi-state lottery game coming to Wyoming
Colorado looking to join the same game this summer WyoLotto players could have a new draw game to play by this fall after the Wyoming Lottery Corp. board of directors on Thursday unanimously approved adding the Lucky for Life game to the three currently offered. Lottery CEO Jon Clontz said he hoped Lucky for Life tickets could be sold in the state by October or November. Lucky for Life is similar to Powerball in that players pick six numbers. Matching all six numbers wins the jackpot. T
