Can't beat the state P3 Odds but maybe
Evidently these State Governments could let us play for half the cost and still pay us $$$ double the payoff odds and still make a profit! This is an interesting observation, if this is in fact the case, then obviously it means that they don't like the idea of you (us) winning much, even if we're lucky enough to win. It just goes to prove that the ones who cheat you out of your money have a dog in the manger attitude - if they can't win and get it, then they certainly don't want you (us) t

Can't beat the state P3 Odds but maybe
It's a negative expectation game, even if it had Roulette odds, your money (action) might last longer, but the state would still get it all eventually unless you managed to win big and walk away never to play again. Systems are like that rocket ship in your avatar, looks like it's flying, but really hanging by a thread with sparklers up it's tail. BobP

Which is better instant tickets, jackpot, or the day/night games?
Okay. We all know that PB has horrible odds. Who plays instant tickets and what do you spend/average per month? What is the most you have hit? the next yahoo is whatzonyourmind.com check it out.

My take on systems
Hello, I'm also new to the forum. I teach math and often use lotteries as examples of combinatorial and probability problems, I joined the forum out of morbid curiosity after talking with a fellow who spends more than a $100 a month on tix and scratchers. I thought I had met a unique person with a lottery addiction, but turns out there are hundreds, thousands of people like him! Uncle Sam thanks all of them for their voluntary tax payments. Anyway, you are right about the wheel systems as th

More state lotteries adding "win for life" games
Lucky for life and Win for life , do they have the same amount of numbers and the same odds of winning? These games do not get the hype like the Power Ball or Mega Millions games when their respective jackpots grow to a huge amount! If you win the top prize in Win for Life, the prize is $1K per day, or $360K per year. Not a bad deal if you win and collect for the rest of your life. The Win for Life does not seem to have a regular stream of winner's . Few winner's hit that top pr

Why! is Marie Holmes wasting her money, baby I'm here, hehe
Given that the expected loss playing the lottery is about 50%, I'm not sure that being incredibly dumb is just limited to those who win. Those who play the exclusively low max prize contests, such as pick 3 or pick 4 will never win a big enough jackpot to overcome even a modest $20/wk in ticket purchases. Lotteries like the Pick 3 grind people down like Vegas does with low payout table games except much more quickly due to the huge house advantage in the lottery. It takes a contest that offer
