Seeking one more partner (Euromillion players), working method partner
You are still mistaken. 1-2-3-4-5 has exactly the same probability of being chosen as any other combination. Both in theory and in practice. You have not presented a proof. You have shown some sequence with little explanation that appears to conclude that because sequential numbers are uncommon they should be avoided. Sequential numbers are uncommon but more common than numbers separated by 2 which are more common than numbers separated by 3 ... Let's take a simple exa

Record $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot won by 3 tickets
OK that is not such a big deal now. I said in a post that I doubt there would be more than 3 winners so at least I got that prediction right. How would I react? I would just be like cool and go back to doing what I was doing Lol! I would be kinda glad the attention would be split 3 ways and not just be on me. I am just glad I did not spend much on this and no longer have to keep spending $2.00. I plan on winning cash for life anyway soon and almost did now twice. ($1,000 a DAY for LIFE $365,000

$1.5 BILLION: Wednesday Powerball record jackpot still rising
Lots of million dollar 2nd prize match-5 winners for sure, but none in California. The 12 California winners lost out and will only receive $638,146. Still a bundle though. It's even worse for CA 3rd tier winners who instead of receiving $50,000 will only get about 1/4 that: $13,903. On the bright side, all those winners, presumably, won far more than they wagered on the drawing, defying the odds. Was nice to see so many additional winners, and that the jackpot was split; spreading the

$1.5 BILLION: Wednesday Powerball record jackpot still rising
Yeah but you got many saying I'll wait until it get to a billion again before I play. Waiting does not make the pot go up it slows it down. It blew up fast once it got to $700 million because then people REALLY started playing. As if that much money is not enough. Just goes to show you how gullible most are and how they fall for marketing hype. I will take $40 million no problem. But as I said the cost does not make sense when I can play MM for a dollar with better odds and still a huge jackpot.

Is Quick Pick or Picking Your Own Numbers For Powerball Better? What will you be doing?
QP is the proper choice from a financial standpoint, if you enjoy conjuring up your own numbers for the pure enjoyment by all means do so. All number combinations have an equal probability of turning up so that leaves two things in favor of QPs, they take up less of your time and people don't pick random numbers so your personally selected numbers are more likely to result in a shared jackpot. If you really think sacrificing a chicken and shaking the dead chicken over your lottery ticket will

Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich answers your questions
People are too greedy, the system can have all the safeguards it can, but when you have greedy people and a boat load of money they can get they will spend all their waking hours on how to get their hands on that money. Every man and woman has a price. The people that write the code can put in a back door to use later, who is going to go behind that person to check for it? And can you trust the person that is double checking? So the odds that the player has against winning is a fairytale if

Post your scratch ticket results
I still don't know how he does it - I've gotten no big wins on the Frenzy tickets. Just one $100 on the $2 Frenzy and 1 $50 on the $5 Frenzy. Countless losers on the $5 Frenzy. At least someone does well on them. Got #56-059 from a Gus Bucks roll at Giant today, plus 1 Cupid Cash. #057 Gus Bucks won $10 and #058 Gus Bucks won $20. What do you know - not a $5 followed by another $5. I haven't been impressed with any of the $5 tickets. That $100 on Wish List has always eluded me. Can't even hit

You mean odds that are in favor of the person providing the prize? Duh, it's a business, the purpose is to make money, make a profit, there is no obligation to make you rich. You are spending a very very small amount of money to possibly win a very very large amount of money, I don't understand why people cry about this or complain if they don't win. There is no other investment on the planet where you can get these kinds of yields. I have 3 friends who have won multi-million dollar jackpots ove

How Many Number Combinations Were Sold For Saturday's Draw?
There were fewer 5+0 winners than suggested by probability. Since there are 11,238,513 possible combinations for the 5 regular balls, probability suggests there will be 1 ticket matching all 5 numbers for every 11,238,513 sold. Since there's a chance that any ticket matching the 5 regular numbers will also match the powerball the odds of only having the 5+0 match is a bit lower at 1 in 11,688,053.52. With 440.3 million tickets sold probability suggests that there will be 440,300,000/11,688,05

Your odds of winning are 1 in 292 million and a winning powerball number has never (and probably will never) hit twice. As far as it being rigged? Don't know. I think it would be the least of your worries. http://gawker.com/is-the-1-3-billion-powerball-rigged-1752171704
