POWERBALL CREATES WORLD'S FIRST BILLION-DOLLAR JACKPOT
Yeah you will be subject to paying 6% (GA Lottery Tax) of the Cash Option should you be lucky enough to hit it. So if you're the sole winner of the $806 Cash Option then you will hand over a massive $48,360,000 to the State Of Georgia. Assuming you knew for sure you were going to win all by yourself then it's well worth catching a plane back to your home state to save yourself a small fortune. Heck even if you have to split that with another winner you'd still owe over $24 Mi

So, do you think that...?
Your thread. What do you mean 1 person won? Not in the last drawing?! Or did you mean since the rule change only one person defied the odds and is now kicking him/herself that instead they could have won this big jackpot?

People fighting over this lottery at wawa machines
I guess some people are animals. Are you freakin kidding me? Why do people fight and why do people wait till the last minute? Due to this site some of you have helped me actually win $25 on a $10 mega millions. Some people don't know how to stop and how to budget. THis lottery has the worst odds ever.

POWERBALL CREATES WORLD'S FIRST BILLION-DOLLAR JACKPOT
I am saying I have been well prepared for a long time, and even for those not well prepared the odds are slim that someone is going to come after them. There are far more successful stories and non-issues than there are destructive ones, the media only glorifies the bad ones. Most of those had problems long before the lottery. I also have never heard of anyone coming after a lottery winner from another country. The reality is that people on here think and worry about all stuff more than average

POWERBALL CREATES WORLD'S FIRST BILLION-DOLLAR JACKPOT
The key phrase is could happen but it didn't as the odds worked against them although they definitely had a good chance. I just wonder how the heck on earth do you fill out all those lottery entry forms.? Then the clerk has to scan the lottery entry into the machine then issue you your ticket then repeat process over and over and over and over and over until time runs out. The first thing would be to play a game where they only do the drawing once a week so that gives you a solid week to fill ou

POWERBALL CREATES WORLD'S FIRST BILLION-DOLLAR JACKPOT
Out of control indeed. Personally, I'm leery of playing in this drawing. It's not the amount of money itself that's the issue, but rather the crush of publicity of winning a world record jackpot. Seemingly every friend , family member, etc will come out of the woodwork seeking help , so-called investment advisers offering their advice , fending off outright scammers, and dealing with frivolous lawsuits. And then there's security and privacy to contend with. Personally, Mega Millions is lookin

Powerball Odds and Buying Lots of Tickets Often Doesn't Pay.
With overall odds of 1:24.8671 and at $2 a ticket, players need to spend $50 just to expect to win something. If they want to spend that much, they could add another $10 and use each of the 75 numbers twice and each bonus number once. Unless a player buys multiple tickets with the same five numbers and the same bonus number, only one ticket can win the jackpot regardless if a player buys 500 tickets or 2. Good Luck!

$800 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot approaches billion-dollar range
Cash value is now $558 Million. I tried to put that in perspective and realized that this cash value is almost as large as Gloria's annuity value. Talk about a mind-blowing realization. I'd all but given up hope that we'd see anything go past the $700 million range, guess Powerball finally found the sweet spot. The right ticket price with the right odds. I hope MM doesn't raise its price now.

Let me get this straight. The Lotter allows people from all over the globe to play USA lottos?
No, you only have to compete with the odds. Regardless of how many people play this never changes. I say let them buy all the tickets they want, most just add to the JP. Heck, isis cells are most likely buying tickets RL

I guess NCEL is trying to get their $800 million too ... remember 223 ? Me neither ! I'm convinced NCEL is never gonna throw out any good numbers. Might as well take the weekend off and concentrate on Mega Millions and Power Ball... yes, the odds of winning PB is like 1 in 292 million but then it feels the same way with Pick 3 so ... Congrats to all the winners though ! Good Luck tonight !!
