Mega Millions lottery tickets double to $2 starting in October
When the odds go against your favor, they are said to be decreasing , while in actuality, the odds number increases. This increase is because of the number of new combinations added to the mix. Thus, with this rule change, over 46 million new combinations are being added, INCREASING the numerical odds, but DECREASING the chance you have at winning.
If the overall odds number also increases, then the game is getting harder to win, period. 1 in 14 to 1 in 24 is almost twice as hard to win as

The new PA $20 ticket actually has an incredible prize structure. 1 in 375 odds of hitting $1K? That's excellent. The odds of hitting $500 aren't very good, but with how common these $1K prizes will be...it is definitely a game I'd recommend playing. The odds of hitting the jackpot of $1M is also still fairly good as well. This just shows that lotteries can restructure games to where the top prize can still be life changing, while offering more and better mid tier prizes.

TX all or nothing and triple chance
I play AoN quite a bit, almost every day. Also play Trip Chance if I'm not playing AoN. Frankly, if you look at the odds of the games, they are not easy to win. I like the overall odds. What is really telling is how many tix are sold each day for the games. They only sell about 20,000 some tix for each game draw. Compared with the odds of the games, it's no wonder there aren't more jackpot winners.
But, I look at it like this. I play the Daily 4 off and on also. When I play I'll play one numb

FL Fantasy 5, March 23 tip
This exclusion of numbers helps to reduce odds. I have my own system of choosing numbers to reduce, but in general every person can choose some numbers to exclude, of their own choice. When the odds are reduced, the need to guess proper combination still remains, only while using less numbers. Odds, even lesser odds, still exist. The main premise is that if one tried to guess 4 to 5 numbers, they'd most likely fail. That gives basis for exclusion of such amount of numbers.
When I recommend e

After doing more research on the odds, I'd say the $7500/Week for Life is a great $20 ticket. If I lived in Georgia, this is the one I'd be playing, although I know they only have 1 top prize remaining. The odds of 1 in 226 at hitting $500, the second place prize of $250k, and the first place prize of $7500/Wk for 20 years are at 1 in 2.52m which isn't bad at all for this type of game design.
This ticket sure as hell beats our $20 Lucky For Life ticket, and puts it to shame big time. After ex

I used to win more
And this isn't even necessarily the case. Look at Ralphie's example of how horrible the odds are at hitting $500 on $30 tickets in NY. That is DISGUSTING.
Here in FL, we have a $20 ticket with odds of 1 in 179, and our $25 ticket has odds of around 1 in 330-350 at hitting $500. They seem to be focusing on pretty graphics, and social media marketing to generate more revenue. They also have lots of big winners during the early span of a game to hook people in. For example, the newest $20 M

Dragonsofa - The $2 million should be special.....heck, if you can beat odds of over 3,000,000 : 1 then you should feel special and then some....lol...
As far as the draw games go there is no comparison if your a math guy and looking at odds. The play 4 pays $5,000 for a $1.00 straight ticket and has odds of 10,000 to 1. There isn't a scratch off that comes even remotely close to these odds and win amount given the price....not even close. I have managed to hit the Play 4 a dozen times since

Glad to hear you had a break even on the $10. Those $1 tickets can be brutal if you don't find a $5-$10 winner, or multiple winners in a batch.
I'm going to spend maybe $50 on the new tickets. I'll probably only buy $2, and $5 tickets since I don't really like the odds on the $1 and $10 ticket.
The $10 ticket has a similar prize structure as 2MJ, but has far worse odds at hitting $150, $250, $500, and basically everything...including the top prize at a whopping 1 in 3.51m. These odds are s

The odds of the $5 Gold Rush doubler ticket is 1 in 1.2m for hitting $500k, honestly better odds than we may have seen on a scratchoff in a while. The $2 ticket has a $50k prize at 1 in 835k. Those are actually great odds relative to the all the other games out there. I don't think we've seen odds that good on a $2 ticket before.
I agree that the new $10 Gold Rush Doubler is disappointing. Good time to go Gold Rush doubler dub collecting! Places like AK Kwik usually have hundreds of entr

Mad as Hell cause you can't WIN MM or PB...??
Only 6.8% of all MM tickets will win a prize and 65.4% won't match 1 number or the bonus number which makes cheating unnecessary. And considering it's ticket sales that creates the jackpot, the odds against winning the jackpot are 258,890,850 to 1, there is no reason to cheat The secondary prizes are paid by the states and overall about 1 ticket out of 18,492,204 matches five numbers. Some states have less than $20,000 in sales while the jackpot is growing and if the fix was in to prevent $1 mil
