Tennessee may cap lottery winnings at $600 for poor
I certainly don't agree with people abusing a system and defrauding usout of our money. You should have reported the fraud. Personally I'venever seen anyone on food stamps driving a cadilac or an SUV with 25inch rims (smaller tires are better people... think), but I'm sure ithappens. In Re: You come to my city , the City of Pittsburgh and I will take you for a short drive thru ALL the projects and lower economic neighborhoods and show you these Cadillacs, SUV'S .The people in th

Bad guys out there
In California, kidnapping for ransom gets life in prison with no parole. Actually, I really haven't read about kidnapping for ransom in newspaper. Still, there are people out there who will try their best to extort rich people. I bet lottery winners are the first ones they chase. It would be really, really frustrating to get thousands of letters saying they need help. It's really scary. But if the anonymity becomes mandatory for the winners then some people will assume that Lottery

Creating a lottery e-book that doesn't look like a scam, and is USEFUL.
There is a pretty big difference between what you are 'pitching' and what RJoH is saying: You are saying basically college is a scam - in some programs I'd agree - but just like anything else, you need to know what you are getting into beforehand, and what you are going to get out of it in the end. ie - 'I've done my research, and I'm going to major in Pottery in College' vs. 'I have done my research and I am going to get my MBA and then go to Law School'. Both are fine, but one of those h

Lottery retailers busted in raid
The domino effect: felony charges, and if you own the store: 1. You lose your lottery license 2. You might lose any liquor license you have.... 3. You'll definitley lose most of your customer base.... Was that really worth it? Some people just don't see it! P.S. Nice SCAM graphic Todd

Woman scammed out of $400,000 pursuing lottery-sized fortune
Bank of America sent me an email because there was a computer glitch regarding my statement, but I still called the customer service number on the back of my credit card and got transferred to the online banking department. Turned out to be true. Anyway, if this woman is really lucid and intelligent maybe she's the scammer and is hoping for some sympathy money from do-gooders who read her story. When Spears began to doubt the scam, she got letters from the President of Nigeria, FBI Direc

How to Prove Your Lottery IS Fixed?
Sorry. Forgot to put in: Duplicate balls drawn would get set aside... until one came up not previously selected. Naw... thinking twice, it's too clumbsy - a lame idea. It's got me into trouble before, taking the protagonist view that THEY WOULDN'T DARE rig the game. But I also know, human nature being what it is, gotta keep your eyes open. Take that phrase in my earlier post, the THEORETICAL threshold. I don't have a clue how they put that one together. Say the theoretical threshold

How to Prove Your Lottery IS Fixed?
If they want to make sure there is no tampering, why don't they have the machines in a big vault? Only one person has the code, and that's it ! It's a scam. Someone said earlier in this post, that the lottery didn't need to fix it to make money, they make plenty already. You'd be surprised when the number crunchers or better know as bean counters are brown nosing their superiors by squeezing as much money from the public as possible. When the think tanks sit down at a meeting, they have no

Just the other day here in Pennsylvania i bought a $2 bingo instant ticket. on the left side u scratch the numbers that are being called and on the right side were the 4 game cards. i finished playing the ticket and was like man i was set 3 different times. so i assumed i lost. but on the left side where the numbers are being called, the state uses a 3 letter code to define if you are a winner. it said two meant i won 2 dollars. i sat there for 30 minutes looking for this bingo and never foun

Lotto pet peeves (with vendors & other players)
I don't have too many complaints about clerks, but have had a few problems. For the pool I run, I usually hand 2 or 3 playslips to the clerk to run through the machine to buy multidraw tickets. Sometimes, they'll run the same slip more than once. Since I run multidraw tickets, sometimes the clerks think the machine is malfunctioning by telling them both playslips will be $16(4tickets for 4 drawings), but I can understand that since they probably don't see that very much. As for checking ti
