Am I normal?
You just got to look at the odds Think about it this way the new 25$ Cash blowout game has odds of winning the 500$ prize 1 in 1648.00. Thats almost 42,000 DOLLARS WORTH OF TICKETS just for one 500$ winner... that is so criminal but what can we do because the lottery is a MONOPOLY and every year they get more greedy and make odds of winning worse and worse it really is a crime.... Also think of it this way to win the top prize its usually 1 in 5 million. The odds that the ticket

Thanks for that analysis, and confirmation bro. I thought I was miscalculating, and the lack of 2nd chance promo certainly helps justify it. 1 in 179 is a hell of alot better for a $500 hit, I think I'll play this ticket exclusively. Is this the best the $500 hit odds have ever been? Do you know what the odds are for the $250 prize? While the $100k, and $5m odds aren't that good, the $1m odds are pretty decent considering the likelihood of $500 wins on this game. This is

lottery prediction systems, why do people spend so much time with them
The odds of winning a 6/49 game are 1 in 13.9 million. When playing 12 numbers in 6/49 the odds of having all the winning numbers fall among any 12 are 1 in 15,134 while still harder to win then Pick-4, 1 in 15,134 is better then 1 in 13.9 million for a chance of winning something. Off hand one would think buying 924 tickets in any game would likely yield some good results but when payout amounts are considered in the case of Ohio's Classic Lotto(6/49) the odds of ever winning a prize

Challenge Odds ?
No, it means what I posted. If you cover 3,168 of the possible 292,201,338 PB combinations, your odds of matching 5/5+B are 292,201,338/3,168 or 1:92,235. Similarly in the MM challenge when you use 13 of the 75 core numbers with 3 of the 15 bonus numbers you will cover 3,861 of the possible 258,890,850 MM combinations and your odds of matching 5/5+B will be 258,890,850/3,861 or 1:67,053. You can calculates the odds for any amounts yourself by using one of the many free lottery odds calcula

The odds work on averages. The $5M prize should only come out every 126,667 rolls (3,800,000 odds / 30 tickets to a roll). The fact that two came out this quickly likely means that there could be a real drought in top prizes for a while or at some point down the road. The same thing happened in the $10M Misfortune game. The first $10M prize hit relatively early in the game cycle (somewhere in the low 100k range) when the overall odds are closer to 1 every 202,500 rolls (8,100,000 odds / 40 t

Why are American lotteries rigged?
Many play for the higher jackpot amounts. I personally rarely play the lower odd games, even though the chance to win is greater, because of the lower prize amounts. Do not misunderstand, I certainly wouldn't mind a $2.2 million US win, however I limit my gambling funds therefore choose to play for a higher risk versus reward. As such, if the ability to choose between the OZ Powerball or the US Powerball, I opt for the US version. Also, many States have their own individual lotto games similar i

Why are American lotteries rigged?
You got a point there with more balls .....higher odds BUT I will debunk that in comparing then South-African Pb with the Australian Pb......we have a cycle that no jackpots will go for 1 or 2 months and then we eventually get a jackpot winner. Comparing it to the Australian Pb with exactly the same odds you will get much regular jackpot wins telling me something is fishy. I am not blind to know that any lottery are a business and their modus operandi is to make money. But if you starting to see

I couldn't say about the Cash 3, but I play EZMatch each day when I buy my Fantasy 5 ticket and only recently did I compare the odds on it vs. a $1 scratch off. Oddly enough, except for like the $2 prize, the odds on EZMatch are crappier. Which is odd to me because I would have to believe there is less overhead for EZMatch than for scratch off games. Compare Quick Bucks $1 game - Win $2 it's 1 in 15 while EZMatch is 1 in 9.38. $4 is 1 in 50 (QB) vs 1 in 60 (EZ). But then you get to $5 winn

I need help with odds calculations
What a person is trying to do is filter out numbers to reduce the odds. IF the conditions in the draw are met, then a person has better odds than playing the entire field of numbers in the game. When I pick numbers for Texas Lotto (6/54). I don't play numbers in the 50's, or numbers that were in the last draw. So I'm playing from a pool of 43 numbers for odds of 1 in 6096454, instead of 1 in 25,827,165. That's over 19 million combinations off the table. Does it work all the time? Of course no

Hoosier Lotto going to $2
A post from the Hoosier Lottery on Facebook: We are excited to bring a new Hoosier Lotto to Indiana that includes bigger jackpots, built-in multiplier and better odds. With that comes a $2 price point. We ll have more details in the coming weeks. Big turn off for me. I simply will not be playing the lottery as much after the change. You know they're trying to pull a fast one when they say better odds . That's just an outright lie. They will probably lower the odds for a single ticket to so
