I have played powerplay on occasion, but I don't anymore. It doesn't change your chances of winning anything, just increases your prize amount. In PB the 2 is designed to come up more often than the other powerplay numbers. That's one reason why I don't play it, along with the fact playing it increases ticket cost to $3. I have a subscription to NY's Lotto, but I know you have to have a physical mailing address in the State of New York to purchase one. It's a 6/59 matrix with a bonus ball, and the odds stink compared to a 6/49 game like Mass Megabucks Doubler. Had I known I could get a subscription to Mass MegaBucks Doubler, I might not have re-upped my Lotto subscription like I just did last week. Instead I might have bought a Mass MegaBucks subscription. That figure was for the past TWO years--I apologize for the error. I suspected something was off when I did my 980/tickets sold calculation to see the empirical odds. In that case it would be 980 winners out of 4.45 billion tickets sold.
