Will you play Powerball more often before the Matrix change in 2015?
Hi everyone, Will you play the Powerball more than you might have since the Matrix change in April 2015 will make it even more impossible to win? I am very upset with this news and thank LottoMetro for her post about this change occurring. I always play one ticket only with the extra dollar for Powerball. I do not play every draw but might start doing so before this change happens. One thing I know for certain is that I will not be playing the extra dollar for the Power Up next year. I think

Hope they rethink the second draw part, and eliminate that, since it just screams ripoff, and will confuse many players. Some who didn't add Power Up will wonder why they didn't win anything in the second chance drawing. While others who did add Power Up and happen to hit all six numbers in the second chance draw will believe they hit the big one, not realizing they hit for far less. Seems a very bad value to spend another $1 for a second chance with the same odds of hitting all six numbers,

MMC is so deeply flawed. Sure, changing the price-point might work, if they raise it to say $50 per ticket (Texas already has $50 instant tickets, so it's not totally outrageous) -or- lowering the price to say $1 or $2, but raising the odds of a top prize hit to stratospheric levels, say 1 in a few billion! I don't see how MMC can be fixed unless they formulate a totally different game, in which case, they might as well call it something else, since MMC is associated with failure and ripoff.

As of Sunday, September 28, sales of Lucky for Life Season Tickets have been temporarily suspended until the new matrix goes into effect on January 27, 2015. The new matrix will offer larger lower-tier prizes and better odds at winning the top prize of $1,000 a day every day for life.

As of Sunday, September 28, sales of Lucky for Life Season Tickets have been temporarily suspended until the new matrix goes into effect on January 27, 2015. The new matrix will offer larger lower-tier prizes and better odds at winning the top prize of $1,000 a day every day for life.

Isn't the multiplier number already chosen right afterwards? If so, presumably, the docs is referring to that draw procedure. The current Powerplay feature, in effect, already is a separate game in regards to the administration (ie. California doesn't offer it) and the accounting. I get the sense not much is really changing other than the odds getting much worse, and the multiplier part being adjusted. My guess is they'll start jackpots at $50 million, and increase by the same guaranteed $10
