Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Played through a bunch of lotto today, and overall got my ass kicked. I'm going to try the new Holiday tickets on Tuesday, but after that I'm going into lotto hibernation with the exception of maybe buying a few holiday raffle tickets. The pictures below are my highest wins from today, but do not let them fool you. I'm definitely in the negative by several hundred bucks after playing through almost 3 books, and a bunch of random $25 Misfortune tickets (which absolutely wrecked my wallet

Post your scratch ticket results
For some of us, when it rains it pours. I got zipp on my 3 millionaire raffle tickets as well. I think that takes me over 15 raffle tickets total with not one single winning ticket in the last 2 years. I'll play from time to time, but as omiller said it's just not worth it. Yeah people do win, I mean I can throw a rock at the store that sold a million dollar winning scratcher last month, from my house. But it wasn't me, so it may as well have been a thousand miles away. I won

British couple win £1m in lottery draw for second time in two years
A UK couple who have won 1m (US$1.5 million) in the EuroMillions lottery for the second time have said they just can't believe it . David and Kathleen Long from Scunthorpe, who won their first 1m in 2013, scooped a big money prize again on Friday night, beating odds of more than 283bn to one. Long said he just knew it would be my turn again some day as the couple become the first people to win 1m twice who have gone public. A spokesman for Camelot, which runs the UK national lottery, sa

Monopoly Millionaires game
I share your interest or no interest in the tv show. I bought my second ticket last week ... my decision was to wait till the $25 million limit was hit and then cover the game ... decided to play the week before when it was $21 million. I didn't realize that two out of five numbers would give your $5 back ... I had two numbers and one number was one number off ... the famous one number off routine that has cost many gamblers a small fortune ... always in the right neighborhood just on the wrong

How do I properly run an online lottery pool?
A man bought a donkey from an old farmer for $100. The farmer agreed to deliver the donkey the next day. Come morning, the farmer drove up and said, Sorry, but I've got some bad news. The donkey died. Well then, just give me my money back. Can't do that. I spent it already, replied the farmer. OK then, just unload the donkey. What're you gonna do with him? asked the farmer. I'm gonna raffle him off. Ya can't raffle off a dead donkey! exclaimed the farmer

Why Only Lotteries rather than Drawings?
Actually I could not find a weekly raffle offered in a state that allows for a big jackpot. Obviously the odds are much better with significant prize amounts. I'm just thinking outloud: Offer a daily raffle at $2 or $5 per ticket and the state keeps 25% of the revenue leaving the following odds and prize amounts with a daily guaranteed winner: # of tix sold 100,000 $375K 250,000 $987K 500,000 $1.9 Million 1,000,000 $3.8 Million 2,000,000 $7.5 Million 5,000,000 $18.8

POLL - State Raffles
I've bought several tickets for FL's raffle this year. I'll be happy with $1k, but it seems like this lottery has more and better payouts than some of the other state lotteries listed on this thread. Not sure why they wouldn't be more comparable from state to state if the revenue generated is the same... Weekly Drawing Prize Structure (there are 6 of these drawings and 1 GP drawing) Prize Prize Amount Number of Winners per Weekly Drawing Estimated Odds* First $1,000,000

El Gordo now available - Drawing Dec. 22
Every year I used to link to a good service for El Gordo tickets. Unfortunately that service stopped doing business years ago. I am happy to report that I am now able to again link to an excellent source for El Gordo tickets. Here it is This company has one of the best systems for buying El Gordo that I have seen or used. You get to choose your ticket numbers right up front, and you actually see the scanned image of the real ticket that you're buying, before you make the purchase. It's

A 70-year-old Pennsylvania man faces up to a year and half in prison for having more than 40 people cash in lottery tickets worth $520,000 so he could avoid paying federal income tax on the winnings.
