For Fantasy 5, I would save up $5 and play only when the top prize rolls over twice as well as to get a 2nd chance entry to play. But your methodologies have worked for you so I would not argue. Getting 5 improves your chance of winning to 1 in 115152 instead of 1 in 575757, an improvement of 80%. Buying 10 makes in a 90% improvement, but anything more diminishes improvement. At the very least, its better to get 2 to cut the odds in half.

We both agree even though the odds are better with scratch tix over the PB and MM it's just too hard being at the right place at the right time. Stick with the $10 and up cards. Top prizes are bigger and odds are better. A friend of mine buys $2 cards religiously, and gets raped repeatedly. One time he bought thirty of them at one time - 27 losers and 3 break even cards. So he lost $54 on a $60 purchase. Some people never learn. I typically buy ten $10 cards at a time, and will usually hit at least a $100 card, along with two or three smaller winners.
