Cash value is $500 million but after taxes it would probably be around $300 million. The odds are actually about 1 in 9.22 quadrillion for a random-pick perfect sheet, and supposedly about 1 in 128 billion for a sheet played by someone who knows basketball. Anyway, yes I am participating. I played (reg. and tournaments), so know a little bit about game dynamics etc, but still holding no expectations. I would be perfectly happy to win one of the second prizes. After all, it's free.

I have a theory that the higher the jackpot the less people care about odds or price. I think everyone has a WTH number. When the jackpot reaches a certain amount, they go oh, WTH, why not buy at least one ticket . When the jackpot is below a certain amount then common sense is more involved. The voice in the head whispers about wasting money and unlikely probabilities. Hit the magic number and that voice switches to talking about what you can buy and how you never have to worry about money ever

If a system like this worked it would be on the news, basically common knowledge, then there would be no more huge jackpots as too many people would be winning all over the place The winnings shown were not JP winners, but lower tier prizes. I never stress over losing money. I try to keep within a budget, but sometimes that falls by the wayside. LOL. Really, Elizabeth, buy your tics, and don't stress over it. Play what you can afford to lose, and have fun with it. Sometimes I play QP's, sometimes I'll pick numbers at random, sometimes I use LP's RNG. oh god ...yes ..I know...I was working on a combo system...a pryamid and ttt generator...but it gives to many numbers and is usually off by one number....makes it to expensive to play....maybe the NCEL will help and let me win for a few days...LOL...figure the odds...good luck Vergie...still loving the Fat Cat....

I was down about $45 for the day yesterday. I had won $50 off 1 $10 Club Casino ticket and did ok on some other tickets. Later in the evening I played $20 Hit the Jackpot.
