How do you determine if a system is worth buying?
Thanks for the kind words.
Strange thing, just about everyone who flies on Commercial jets feels somewhat comfortable doing so, because the odds of encountering a life threating event during the flight is extremely rare. Funny how most people adhere to those facts with no complaints, yet when the 99.9 rule is written, it's a troll who follows threads to annoy. Silly people. lol
You can't pick and choose which facts to believe in.

Lets Talk Scratchers Again...
I've always thought that scratchers are pretty cool, epecially when the odds are taken into account and you're lookin for a return at some point. It's much harder to win anything with MM's and PB...if at all. Scratch off's routinely give back $5, $10, $20 when you get that right one. The higher cost tickets do pay off much better and more frequently as mentioned above. Personally, I haven't bought any in at least two years but, that'll change this year. There's just something very cool and excit

Is anybody playing these Publishers Clearing house sweepstakes??
I suppose it's better that than personal attacks.
I don't think educating people on the reality of the rediculous odds is considered a personal attack. They're lack of understanding or denial can only be rectified by how far their egos allow the sharade to go on before waking up.Then the egos retreat back to their binding dungeons allowing common sense and practicality to rule.
Would you rather I coddle them?

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Speaking of the screenshot, found out the Idaho Lottery has a $20 Million $$ Match game, but their top prize is set for $250k, a far cry from the $1 million, $2 million, $5 million seen on the survey.

I would play this game myself if those where the odds, except California has much greater population.

I think the $5 Mega Crossword is probably in its 6th format (blue, red, aqua green, dark blue, white, now light blue?), I lost count but I still do not know the reason its popular.
This baffles me as well. The one high-traffic store I frequent, it seems this is their #1 seller. In the $5 category, it has the worst odds, and the top prize is on the lower end. Also, it's the chasers at this store that mostly play those too. They just buy, scratch the code, and scan.

Billion dollar lottery in March
I heard Buffett said on the news that if someone somehow overcomes the odds of having a correct bracket all the way up to the final four, that he may do a Deal or No Deal type of offer to buy them out at that point.
He'll make them an offer they can't refuse.
The banker will offer to buy your case for $100 million . . . or you can sleep with the fishes.
So do you take the $100M and walk away, or risk it all (winning nothing) for the chance at the billion (annuity) or $500M cash?

What do you do to increase your luck in winning?
play in well organized group that buy tons of tickets
play games that have relatively low odds of winning but high jackpots (think raffles, 6/49 games, scratch tickets etc)
I also have a lucky coin I carry with me, say what you want about it but its better than nothing
