My bad I did not catch that part.
I am also wondering too how many entries it took for a person to win. Thanks for requesting the data even if you get back a response from them or not.
I know those big time jackpots recently was claimed on just a few quick picks, and the odds of those are even slimmer than the 2nd chance.

Winning Jackpot numbers showing up again and again...
You know that a 6/49 game has different odds than a 5/39 game, right?
For a game with 575,000 combinations you should expect some repeat combinations to start showing up after there have been a couple of thousand drawings. For games with a 13 million combinations that has already had 13,000 drawings there's still only a 1 in 1000 chance of a repeat on the next drawing; and only a 10% chance that it will happen within a year (assuming 2 drawings per week). For the record, no 6/49 game has come

Must Have Been Very Profitable PB and MM Weekend for Florida Lottery
The Mega Millions Friday January 10 and Powerball Saturday January 11 drawings must have been very profitable for the Florida Lottery:
The highest prize paid out statewide for Mega Millions Friday January 10: Only ONE $1,500 prize
The highest prize paid out statewide for Powerball Saturday January 11: Only ONE $10,000 prize (remember these are $2 per line tickets)
These super high odds games have become very poor bets for the average player...

Wondering if I should go back to buying scratchers?
Hi dr65,
I hear what you mean about only having maybe 5 or so top prizes on a scratchoff game. On the 5 dollar scratch offs many times there might be 6 top prizes out of maybe 25 million tickets printed so the odds are pretty bad. On the 20 dollar tickets we may have 35 top prizes of 1 million and maybe 4 top prizes on 10 million but again the number of tickets printed will still be in the millions. I'm always checking my states website to see what is still available even though I haven't bee

State Raffles
Sorry OldSchoolPa.
I'm starting to hate them too. The first one I was really excited about the odds and spent about $100 on it. And I lost. I already quit playing the ones they do throughout the year, but I still buy a ticket or two for the year-end raffle. Although, this just might have been the last year I do that. I'll have to think about it, but the way I feel after losing AGAIN this year is that I'll only buy a ticket next winter if I'm feeling flush.
Good luck to you in March.

Wondering if I should go back to buying scratchers?
Thanks for the post, shyguitar. I feel it's worth it to play both....regular lotto tickets and scratcher tickets. As far as worth it to gain more $$ . . . I have my doubts. I play for fun only. No matter how you decide to play, the odds against winning are enormous to say the least. However, it's also true that somebody will win if they keep buying tickets. Perhaps that somebody will be the olplugger, or shyguitar.
Lottery for me is purely a hobby with the potential of some return. Others may

Welcome to LP.
Yeah, I do. Although there is only one top prize for each ended game, if you enter enough tickets, the odds are way better than winning the top prize playing the original game. It's amazing how many people have no interest in 2nd chance and simply throw their losing tickets away.
I've also been entering the weekly SuperLotto and Fantasy 5 2nd chance drawings. I only started in November, but no wins so far. I'm not sure if there are any strategies for the online version, othe

Have you changed your tradegy to win the lottery?
learn to play a game like the Pick 3 or something for smaller frequent wins. Then you can bankroll a percentage of the wins to try more numbers for the big lottery. If i played, I wouldn't play the same numbers all the time though. If 1 or 2 of the numbers come up, I'd feel like the odds of them being drawn the next time is worse. I'd probably find a couple of frequent numbers, play those, and just guess the others randomly. I was in Indiana for a week and did that with some silly Keno game. I k

S.C. woman nearly threw away $250,000 winning lottery ticket
A Bluffton, South Carolina, woman nearly threw away $250,000.
She was cleaning her car more than a month ago when she noticed a lottery ticket she had purchased at the Publix on Buckwalter Place Boulevard. She thought the ticket, which was stuffed under the seat, was worthless.
Before tossing it out, she marked off a few unscratched numbers and realized she'd hit the jackpot: $250,000 on a $250 Grand ticket.
I was shaking, the woman, who declined to be named or interviewed, told S.C. E
