Well, it's close... They slashed payouts for every sub-jackpot tier except the second which I'm sure that along with the massive odds increase (as if they weren't massive already) turned a lot of people off, also doesn't help that a lot less money is going into the jackpot thanks to the changes and it's rising slower than ever. The cash option is currently only 54% (rounded) of the annuity amount where as before it was up to 69% (rounded) and I think slightly higher at a point or two. Less

Nearly every ticket on the $200,000 lucky for life Ive won $100 on. Its far from dead it seems. Today, since the $25 and $20 games have been doing me dirty, I decided to play the cheapo tickets and got on a hot streak. I love seeing cheaters get shut down
It makes me smile when I log on the day after a drawing and I see no winners! There were even no 5+0 winners. Now is the time to change the matrix for Powerball and make it harder. 400,000,000:1 odds for a JP sound nice. The matrix Change in mm has shut down the cheats!

I'd gladly take the JP from the state's 6/49 game w/odds of 1 in a little less than 14 mil. right now it has a cash value of 7.9 mils. even w our onerous state tax of 10.8% and fed tax @ 39% you'd still about 3.6 mils, all in need to retire.

I haven't noticed if it's affecting others rate of play but as the jp grows more people will certainly take notice. And wow, is that jp going to grow! When I pick my numbers it's easy to see how crazy these odds of winning the big one are! It sucks that right when the jackpot gets to 200 mill, my job is OUTSOURCED--so no office pool for me for the time-being

Agree...... However, roughly 87% of the time the 2nd prize tier value will be more valuable using Megaplier versus more tickets. Even still, terrible odds for $5 million either way IMO.

I completely disagree with the author ( snip ) of this post. Cash 4 is not 'easy' by any means, but I find the Cash 4 digits behave in a much more predictable fashion than Cash 3. Cash 3 to me (irrespective of odds) is much more frustrating and incredibly difficult to hit. The numbers seem to have no rhyme or reason.
