I think the story is made up when I read to the point where the person tried to enter the replay and could not figure out what was going on. But at the end of the day, that guy is $5 million richer and I am $1k poorer.
I double check by either scanning the ticket bar code at a retailer or entering the ticket on replay (seems only 20 - 30% of the actual ticket losers get entered in except for those high prize ceiling games).
Judging by the appearence of the upcoming $10 game this coming Mon

No Luck with Luckys systems..
Yes its all just for fun the thrill of the hunt and the chase.. its only a game and thats all.. just fun.. you can find a way around the odds a little for the person who says the LP systems are bogus not really i can get a lot of pairs for what ive learned.. the systems are not bogus at all, its just there are so many theories and ideas ive seen a lot that work some do not,, its so varied but these folks arent bogus there are a lot of good people on here..
again its just a fun thing to do....

Pool / Syndicate or Solo player?
Solo.
Every form of gambling should be a solo endeavor.
Odds are you are going to lose, but if you get lucky and everyone else loses you'll be expected to bail them out.
Lotto might be a little different in the approach, but look just on LP alone about all the hassles over pools.

so apparently not much of an improvement when looked at this way.
No matter how you look at it it's not much of an improvement when the chances of winning are still only 1 in 129 million, but everybody who understands the difference between 1 and 2 should still be able to figure out that's it doubles your odds of winning. It also doubles your chances of winning and the probability that you will win.
It's really that simple, but there are several people here who could be the poster boy fo

I hear ya. I'll be done on 11/13 when the promo ends, that's the only reason I'm still playing.
The $100 prizes are nice, but in reality, it's just like odds of winning $15 on a $5 game. The long strings of losers on the $20 game can really inflict some serious pain.
That's a really bad roll you mentioned, only $190 back from 30 tickets? Was that confirmed? That's really horrendous, only 31.6% return for a pack.

MM sure knows what they're doing. They are banking on everyone to figure out ' hey I can spend$15 each draw and cover all 15 numbers and win SOMETHING'
But with those 75 numbers in the white ball field it is astronomical almost to win.
Also isn't 1:258 million odds astronomical too? I'm not seeing how that equates to 1:129 mill.

They wouldn't try something sneaky like put two (or more) Megaballs with each numeral in the machine, would they? Would that tilt the odds in any drastic fashion?
I have been playing six set numbers for years, dating to before I heard of MegaMillions. I had been rotating one of the numbers into the Megaball position on a calendar-month basis. This new limit of 15 has effectively limited my ability to do that to only one of the six numbers. I just bought my first ticket for this 75/15 mat

Replaying with money won.
X100 what others said. Keep playing about the same amount as you did before. If that got you a win, there's no reason it can't get you another. Spending a lot more will not actually increase your odds very much when you think about it. Say there's a 1 in 1,000,000 chance of winning, then playing $600,000 means there are still 400,000 chances someone else will win and you will have $0 instead of $600,000.
As for investing, follow your advisors suggestions but use your common sense to double ch
