The Florida Lottery's Popular Millionaire Raffle Is Back!
Lottonovice...you may also want to think of it another way.. If you were to be put into the drawing when all tickets sell out, then your chances are 1 in a million (or 2 or 3 depending on the number of tickets that you purchase). The odds are significantly better if very few people buy, this way the odds are more like 1 in 100,000.. Does that make sense?
Additionally, if for the December 31st (2Million drawing and the additional $100,000 prizes) if only 750,000 people buy, then your odds agai

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Lotto math is confusing. Ohio's New Year raffle is advertised as having the best odds of winning a million dollars.
For $20, you get one of 500,000 raffle tickets which makes the odds of winning a million dollars 1:500,000
For $20, you could buy 10 MegaMillions tickets with the multiplier and have odds of 1:390,470 to match 5/5 + 0/46 which also pays one million dollars.
They appearantly assume players can't figure odds.

Post Your New Florida $25 Dollar Ticket Rip Off
I wasn t good at math or statistics but check this out and see if I m close.
Florida Lottery website Nov 1, 2012 Fl Lottery announces over $90M of revenue since sales began on Sept 25th of the new $25 Millionaire scratch off ticket
Humm let s see $90M divided by 37 days comes out to $2.4M revenue per day. That buys around 960,000 tickets a day odds for $1M win - 1 in 687,772 . There have been four $1M wins in that 37 day period . Why not more $1M wins ? Especially if you can buy 272,

GEORGIA PLAYERS, Do not even waste your money on the Millionaire Jingle Jumbo Bucks
Sir,
Not only do I agree with you, but if you haven't noticed, the best lottery ticket has been taken away by the Georgia lottery. The $10 scratch off called CASH BLAST had the odds of winning a POW symbol and you would win $100 and this ticket only costs $10 NOT $20. The best one out there is the one you are referring to THE $100 MILLION LUCKY FORTUNES . It has an odds of winning $100 of 1 in 28 tickets, but it costs $20. That's like buying almost 2 Cash Blast tickets. Unless, the Georgia L

I'm tired of hitting three MM numbers
It really doesn't matter which game we play because the odds against winning the jackpot are about the same. For secondary prizes like matching 3 + 0 or 4 + 0, playing MM using Megaplier option is a much better bet because the odds against hitting are lower and the prizes are considerably higher. The odds of matching 5 + 0 are lower on MM and for the same $2 bet the playoff is the same. But if you're not matching enough MM numbers, the odds against and playoff are irrelevant.
I don't play eit

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Real simple LL,
A 28 number full wheel is 98,280 lines. You only get to play one bonus ball so we are playing primarily for 5 out of 5. The object is to beat the stated lottery odds and prove that :
some number combinations have better odds.
Few people expect us to hit 5 out of 5 in less than 38 draws (stated lottery odds) But I already hit 5 out of 5 in two draws, so we need to keep this going and prove that because of predicability we can get better odds

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Because the balls are NUMBERED, it is not a random event.
If half the balls were RED, and half the balls were BLUE, what would be the odds of getting all red or all blue?
Are odds the same for odd/even combinations, because half the balls are odd, and half the balls are even?

PowerBall finally may has the edge it's been seeking
RJOh, Sir, you're absolutely and positively correct on this account. They most definitely have THE EDGE they've been seeking...even more so than before. Only change is that more people have been brain washed into spending more of their money on the same odds for slightly increased payouts.
Check any tickets you may have prior to this supposed change and look at the odds, okay. Then, look at the odds on any tickets after this change and see if they're the same. Please let me know, although I a

PowerBall finally may has the edge it's been seeking
'Toss, you got that right! These lottery commissions are literally playing games while allowing the games to be played. That is, they've only raised the starting amount on the jackpots while raising the prices to play 'em. Nothing, and I mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING has been done to actually increase the ACTUAL ODDS for more players to win. This would entail either less numbers to match for a higher given prize, less total numbers altogether, or a payout for a scattered match of sorts.
