7 state lotteries join forces for multi-state raffle
Yeah Right! I went into a Mobil station yesterday and asked about it. Never heard of it was the response I got. Thanks for sharing the info. Actually, I'm kind of glad they screwed up. You're right, ticket sales will probably be kind of low simply because there wont be a lot of time to sell them, and because it's new. That means the odds to win the top prize will be low too, but they may not sell a top prize winner in NYS either.

length of time a digit reamains hot for pick 3
I agree. Sometimes though a digit in a position might not show for 40 drawings. That is a phantom digit. A TFR is a good way to spot a cold and hot digit in all positions. I prefer to catch the hot skip strings in a downstroke. A downstroke has only one destination. ZERO. An upstroke is a crapshot. Could be infinity. (Well odds say so anyway)

Why would MM risk losing people/money with new matrix?
Because it will most likely work... fools don't conjure these business plans up. When the JP hits 1 billion... even most who have sworn against these new impossible odds will most likely wager a $1 for a shot at it. That's why

SoundOff New Jersey Lottery is cheating in the Pick 3 and Pick 4 Games
I firmly believe the winning combo are pre-determined and not random. It appears to me that there are magnets are involved. It would be better if the balls toss around the cylinder and a hole in the bottom opens up and let gravity do its job as done in the Pick6 and Cash 5 games. I have seen NJ players who are consistent winners, they defy the odds. The only explanation I can think of is that they have the connections. Privatization of the NJ Lottery hasn't changed anything. There were no lay

Do some people not care how much they spend on lottery and feel it will be worth it if you win?
A little bit can really add up. People who play even $5-10 a draw or buy scratchers every other day really don't realize how much they spend. Like I mentioned in another post, several years ago I was a frequent player. The most I ever spent was a grand in one year. $1,000 down the tubes. That was really the wake-up call for me. I was winning but not enough to justify spending that much (might as well go to casino and bet it on red)! Nowadays I do much better...I track every purchase, buy v

Illinois Lottery adds new feature to numbers games
Harsh but a reality. The lottery never implements changes unless they would benefit the lottery itself, not the player. I think your calculations are off. When playing straight with Fireball if a player wins they do not win $500 on a $1 wager. They win the 50 cent wager which returns $250. Only if one of their balls matches the Fireball do they win again That's why I said they carefully worded it. All you have to do is multiply the odds by the winnings to get the expected return. 3/2000 ti
