LOL. Great minds think alike. Just reading this now and we're on the same page. If I were ever in charge of a lottery game which had really long odds, I would do away with the annuity. If the JP is $190M, $190M is what would be paid out. Minus taxes. But no annuity vs cash payout BS. They win the advertised JP in it's entirety right away. I think people would go for that and wouldn't pay so much attention to the fact that they would have a better chance of being raised from the dead

Thank you Ronnie316 and thanks again Mathhead for providing the calculations! As 86% of all PB drawings since the inception of the current 5/59 format contain a number delta of 4 or less I was curious to see how many combinations I could eliminate if I played only lines that fit these parameters. Granted 14% of the time my strategy would fail, but it's good to know I can get rid of 19.23% of the more evenly spaced combos the rest of the time and reduce my 5 of 5 odds down closer to 1:4,100,00

Well.....last night's double hit straight and box...... might have scared it shy tonight. Wish I remembered the all odds were out 47 days. Oh well.... Say Grace...with all those box hits in the last week they won't be as strong at this new lower un-hit number now. Not as robust. We should only expect a hit around 16% of the time with so few left now ....and get progressively weaker as they go down....of course.
