Texas All or Nothing
Just looking at the last 35 day draws for Pick 3 and it appears it's in a cycle of not repeating much. Usually it does 60-62% of the time. Right now it is running less then 40%. When this happens though you can eliminate all digits in prior game from consideration. This causes a big reduction in your Odds. Especially if you can elminate 3 digits. Think Monday Day draw is going to have a Odd number in the 2nd position and Sum Total Odd with all 3 digits coming within the last 4 draws which means

Would you still play Mega Millions if your state lottery's jackpot was bigger?
Illinois Lotto is a 6/52 game, the odds are over 1:20,000,000 and the lower prizes are chump change. There is a new twist called Extra Shot for another buck that would make a 5 of 6 prize somewhere around $40,000 instead of $1200 but it doesn't gt a whole lot of play. For the Extra Shot one ball is drawn from 25 and it's always a QP.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
And with enough tickets bought, it's more likey to be won than not. For the $207 million jackpot, at the most only 20% of all the possible outcomes were sold. How many tickets are enough to make a jackpot winner likely? Ignore the fact the percentages favored the jackpot not being won by 5 to 1, the one winning ticket was still only one out of over 32 million tickets sold. Nobody beat the odds, they just won, right?

Do some number combinations have better odds?
this thread is enjoyable to read. Which game is easier to win. Mega millions or powerball..... I think u have better odds with balls that are old raggedy and worn out.. than the fresh not drawn to often clean cut balls.... I just like balls. It's something about them that make me feel good

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Who would have though you didn't know the meaning of the word against . If you roll a die (a six sided cube with a different indentation on each of the six sides ; one side has 1 dot, another has 2 dots, 3, dots, 4 dots, 5 dots, and 6 dots), there are six possible outcomes. If you bet on the side with 5 dots, there is five ways to lose, but only one way to win. Therefore the odds against a 5 being rolled are 5 to 1. My cat understands it and I'm crossing my finger that you do too.

Fallacies, and two REAL ways of improving your chances
Assuming what you're refering to as a Progressive betting system is what is sometimes called the Martingale, I think you might finally like one of my posts, at least the first part of it. You're confused again because the wins using Steve Player's progressive betting strategy are never small as in the Martingale strategy Bluejay explained. Just winning three of Steve Player type progressive pick-3 bets nets a player $29,400 on a $31 bet. The odds of doing it are better than betting any Roul

Tennessee: 2/1 - 2/28/2013
Hate to be bearer off bad news. But there is no1 who can tell you what number will come tomorrow the next day or the next day..... If they can make sure they msg me with that info.......picking 1 exact number out of 1000, for pick 3 or 10000 out of pick is extremely challenging. It's tons of folks who can look at results and say well if u add 123 to a number from 18 weeks ago you will get the winning number. Some folks even buy books from gas station with hundreds of numbers in them. You bound

Jackpot statistics in MM & Powerball games
I see your point RJOh and that is regardless of the strategies you use or trends you look at you'll never be able increase your odds of winning that are in any way statistically significant. That's why I joined LP a few months back, to get tips and insight from players with much more experience and know-how than myself. I do have one question for you or any other LP member in the know for that matter and that is if I intentionally stop playing PB white ball number sets that are at least 5 num

Fallacies, and two REAL ways of improving your chances
The only way to guarantee having the winning combination is to play every combination in the game. Exactly. If the odds were 1 in 1,947,792 then you would be guaranteed to win by playing all 1,947,792 possibilities. How could you play every one of the possible combinations when you've only got enough choices to cover 2/3 of them? There's nothing special about using all of the numbers. It guarantees that you've played all of the winning numbers, but it also guarantees that you've played a
