Mega Millions lottery winner recounts epic win
Unless a ticket can win 2 prizes you can't have odds of 2 in 175,711,536 and also 2 in 15,313. Among the many possibilities for tickets 1 and 2 are ticket 1 winning the jackpot and ticket 2 winning 4+0. The odds of that is 1 in 175,711,536 * 1 in 15,313, which is the 1 in 2.7 trillion previously noted. Of course there's also the chance of ticket 1 winning 4+0 and ticket 2 winning the jackpot, which is also 1 in 2.7 trillion. The correct odds of one or the other happening is 2 in 2.7 trillion,

$500 winner - Georgia Lottery BLACK
I decided to compare the top 2 $20 tickets between Massachusetts and Georgia. With the exception of the slightly better odds on the $1,000,000 prize, and the fact that the game has an $8,000,000 top prize verses our $5,000,000 top prize, I do not see any advantages to the Massachusetts tickets vs. the Georgia tickets. Here are the odds side by side. As a special note, I only included the very best odds for the Massachusetts tickets, as I only have one set of odds for Georgia tickets. There are s

Pure unadulterated baloney from Steve Player
States want lottery players to win but at the projected odds. They have set up their games with odds and payouts to make a profit. It's only when someone or group beats those odds such as those players using fortune cookie numbers to play PowerBall won more than the odds predicted that they become concerned. They are also concerned about a large group buying all the possible combinations when the jackpot is big enough to make a profit playing that way so all states added rules that made that

Re:playing 20 bucks on 5/39 game if the odds to match 4 numbers is 1:169 and you play for 7 days would divide 169 by 7 to get the overall odds of matching 4 numbers? Thanks..

All you ever wanted to know about Doubles Traps
Yes, your right..... and its about using the ODDs to your advantage too..... because knowing the odds can reduce the numbers down to a more reasonable amount. Over time, that will give you an edge that most folks simply don't have or bother to learn . If we can reduce the playable numbers down with common odds .....to say ....... 25% of the base......and then guess from that point on....then we are better off than those who don't ..... in the long run. That's still a pool of 250 numbers.

Vt. Lottery computer glitch creates extra winners
Wow! You sure are a math expert! How you can take something and redefine it is amazing. The more you write the more I see you don t have a clue or think people with objectionable minds should go down your goat trail. I ll ask again: Show me the links to back up the Local RNG myth. That should suffice if they are from the states. You can t do it because it s a myth. You can t read the article and where the lottery Professional said the numbers come from them. You talk good smack about a stack

Just Be A Player To Win Mega Millions And Powerball
The fact about lotteries in general is that no matter how high the odds to win the jackpot. Someone will win and that is a fact. So there is no point in playing multiple tickets in order to beat the odds. The odds can't be beat, they always stay the same against every line being played. You can play $1 or $100 per drawing, you will still face the same odds. But there is one thing that you can do to win the lottery sooner, you can increase your chances by playing for more money. You can also lose

Is there a game in your state that you feel needs to go away
Sweet Millions in New York. When you correctly get 5 out of the 6 winning numbers drawn you only get $500.00 and the odds of matching 5 out of 6 numbers in sweet millions is 1 in 18,816. Compare that to the odds of winning $500 in the pick 3 game which is only 1 in 1,000. Your odds of winning $500.00 in pick 3 are over 17 times greater than the odds of winning $500 in Sweet Millions .Plus where is all the money going that the players used to play the games when the jackpot ISNT WON in ANY given

Would you keep playing?
If the odds go from 195-million-to-one to a-billion-to-one, it's still the same to me, just a shot in the dark. The way I look at it is somebody is going to beat those odds no matter how high they are and there's a chance it could be you as well as anyone else. The odds against you winning are astronomical before a friend or neighbor wins and they're astronomical after a friend or neighbor wins. The only constant is that you will never beat the odds if you don't buy a ticket. Personally
