After winning the Lottery
If I hit the MM jackpot, I'd visit daily for a while to see if people are guessing that I lost my ticket, etc. since it would likely be over a month before I'd step forward (or have my attorney do so if the state would allow that) to claim my prize. After the claim, I'd continue to visit regularly to have my laughs about what people thought about how I handled the publicity and what I might be doing. But I suspect that after a few weeks I'd become too preoccupied with spending and investing my m

How would you end your job after You win the powerball this week.
Me and my coworker play PB together in the hopes of being able to tell our boss that we quit. We have visions of doing it in an unlady-like way, however. LOL. TBH, we'd both give a two weeks notice, but it would be the hardest and longest two weeks ever. Knowing at the end of it is wealth, comfort and most of all security. How nice would that be? Aaaahhhh...
Does anyone else think that the best part of playing the lottery, other than winning, is the what if's you go through in your head or

-Mediocrity Winners-
You're damn right. No sugar-coating here my friend. However I am somewhat frugal because all of my money came very difficultly, and I do not intend on having more than two cars. Just a lot of toys indoors. Pools and vacations also do not interest me. I will create my own pradise. I will even post pics when it happens, soon.
However for me the most important thing is financial security and no longer wondering where my next check will be coming from, and if it is coming or not. To take other pe

Official gets 8 years at home for rigging lottery
Tracking rolls of tickets is one thing, knowing what rolls the top prizes are in is totally different, having lottery security use the information to rob the public, priceless.
When they tell us something can't happen, stories like this prove they can.

People will marvel at the convenience and security of it all.
Apparently they already are.
Sounds good.

Ontario store employee charged with stealing lottery prizes
I can envision a future where:
You will give your playslip to the clerk and place your finger on a 'reader'. The clerk will press a button and hand you back your playslip. The 'system' will record who played which numbers in what amounts. The cost will be deducted from your nazional account. No physical cash will change hands. After the drawing, any winnings will be deposited to to your nazional account (minus any taxes). People will marvel at the convenience and security of it all.

Who really need money?
That's a terrible thing to say! It's not a pity that older folks win. All younger people should be lucky to live that long in the first place. What a wonderful gift it would be to win the prize in your golden years. Just the other day when I was at the grocery this older lady was in front of me and I noticed what she was buying, all the cheap store name foods. It made me sad but that's what Social Security leaves you with. A lot of senior folks have wound up broke after helping their own childre

Hot System Topic
It seems like everyone likes their OWN way of picking # and the majority of time is spent saying their system is the best there is out there.....nobody really likes to share ideas or tactics openly (surprisingly for p3 since there is no pot to be split with others), no meaningful conclusions are reached because the majority of time topics go off topic, people don't like when they are being corrected when they say smth illogical etc...also 90% of posts here daydream about spending their jackpots,

Lump Sum or payments?
Exactly. David Edwards just blew it on crap. I would not even buy more than three cars TOPS, probably only two. I don't need a lot to be happy, just the security to know that I will not be without money ever again. All I would have to do is invest in a 60 month CD at 5.5%, and I would be sitting pretty for a long time, then renew as needed. Now annuity payments on say $200 million might be worth it if I had no choice, but still would never compare to the interest rates of the lump sum.

Money can't buy you happines
All good points, lottocalgal.
Can we say people thinking material things aren't exactly seeking security though?
Different breeds of cat I guess.
Your post made me think of the old adage about gambling being the working slobs only real hope of ever making a big score, and being set and comfortable.
