Do some number combinations have better odds?
Stack47 That's a good one, made me laugh out loud. Maybe those odds are for QP players. RL

You realize that I was disagreeing with you, right? I was explaining that the reason they call them overall is because they're adding up the values of a bunch of specifics. In otherwords, the word overall does not suggest that the odds aren't constant, like you keep saying.

Three/five ticket winners on a fresh roll. Keep going?
At a vending machine I bought a five dollar Jumbo Bucks ticket. Every number was a match with two dollars underneath for a total of $30. After that I proceeded to get to more jumbos with a total of about $55 in winnings. So out of five tickets I just bought three of them were winners to gave me jumbo symbols and my question now is should I keep going and buy some more? I know odds are is probably not that great however I was thinking this could be the so called hot roll . So what would

The cause generating a Momentary trend could be many factors, but am not concerned. What am concerned is the transitional data(could last a certain time, remember my life span is short with regard to large matrix odds). Like I said, stats and probabilty may seem mutually inclusive , but two completely different concepts. Stats deals with data(physical and dynamic), probability is more of inference , base on a data(Physical and dynamic).Since probability is a conditonal concept, i have the pleasu

I thought mathematical acceptance was when we first understood 5 of something is more than 1 of something; like 5 pennies are more than one penny and any 5-year-old that understands it, is generally accepted. Calculating the probability of any group of 28 numbers having a five number match is a little more complex math, but the results show there should be 1 five number match in the next 39 outcomes. You ran a test using a group of 28 numbers and had 5 five number matches in less than 39 draw

Do some number combinations have better odds?
I'm sorry you can't read a few paragraphs. That's quite sad for someone who apparently has undisputable evidence that he has better odds than the lottery. (Or maybe, it's more logical that this person is quite wrong about his claims.) Especially because practically everyone who discovers something important through creativity has to read far more than a few short paragraphs. And those people will take time to consider their oppostion. Surely their opposition isn't POINTLESS. (As you are

Would you prefer your discussions be intelectual, or filled with nonsense? I don't know about you, but I'd prefer to have a conversation that wasn't filled with BS, and I'd rather have a conversation based on reality. Whether that be about lottery, or other matters, I don't like to have dumb converstaions. Forgive me for using mathemetical concepts in a conversation about odds, I guess your goal was to monopolize the conversation and be praised universally. Unfortunately for you,

I put this Topic in the Systems Forum because it was motivated by the theory put forth in Discussion that subsets of Lotto fields could be systematically chosen to improve a player's odds of winning. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_probability http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Probability

Very nice work Thanks for sharing that. rcbbuckeye. And remember you only need to win the jackpot once on any one singe given draw to make it all worthwhile. Its easy for any clear thinking lottery player to see that you are playing for a jackpot, NOT some long term statistical advantage over the lotteries so that you can beat the house and beat the odds Best wishes on hitting that jackpot for yourself and your work pool.
