When jackpots are comparable I'll buy pb tickets when mega is higher I'll buy mm I dont think they care about a bunch of pissed off boomers putting their money elsewhere. Their timing was terrible but they're getting the results they wanted even if they haven't had a billion dollar run up, they're making more money selling half as many tickets.

I can't imagine any way that MM can get ahead of PB other than PB being hit and resetting. Faster growing jackpots that's what MM told us I thought it would grow fast enough to erode PB 100M lead

I don't think it's because of the third drawing in a week. People tend to buy lottery tickets on a per-week basis, not a per-drawing basis. I suspect that many people who were buying multiple tickets for the Wednesday and Saturday drawings stuck with the same weekly expenditure or maybe added one more ticket. Based on the worksheet I figured a roll should be about 1.011 billion, but playing it safe and advertising an even billion isn't a surprise. The most recent worksheet estimates the supported annuity at 1.017. Sometimes it's good when the jackpots get won below 500 million, reason being that we don't get into a frenzy and spend more that we planned to The win will fuel the MM run. I still got my PB ticket for Saturday, 5M is still a good win.
