Would you keep playing?
is rare to see such events but you still have the same odds as everyone else in the USA it can go anybody s way and since the author is not paying attention to the quick picks, a quick pick is a random choice to come to the conclusion the author is making she must have to know the terminals machine and computers game or encryption of the tickets and see how they function but still you have the same odds as everyone else though i think that certain regions (not locations) have odds just a little

What Are The Odds?
I'm not good with figuring out odds but I know some of you lottery experts are pretty good with that stuff. Here is my question-- What would be the odds of a 5+Bonus Ball Game with 28 numbers? I appreciate any answers, thanks so much!

Do you guys think the mega millions and maybe powerball is rigged?
The odds of all odd or all even is about 1 in 77.7, so the chances of all odd followed by all even is 1 in (77.7 * 77.7), or 1 in 6037. Of course that's for 2 specific back to back drawings. The odds of having two back to back odd/even drawings during any given month is much higher, since there are 7 or 8 drawings for it to start, and you'd presumably find it just as unusual if the all even result came first. If you think that odds of 1 in 6000 are steep, compare it to the 1 in 30,625 trillio

Win For Life?
Win For Life is a 6/42 lotto type game with a bonus ball drawn from the same 42 number pool and the odds of matching the first six numbers and hitting the jackpot are 5,248,176 to 1. For the bottom tier prizes, matching 3 numbers or matching 2 numbers plus the bonus ball pay the same ($2) as does matching 4 numbers or 3 numbers plus the bonus ball ($30). Matching four numbers with the bonus ball pays $200 while matching 5 numbers pays $600. The overall odds of winning anything are 21 to 1. Th

When To Play The Lottery
Before Powerball and Mega Millions, I think $4 million was a very large lottery prize. It was probably quite rare for any lottery to reach a $10 million jackpot. Some state lottery games' jackpots actually get higher than the lowest starting jackpots of Powerball and Mega Millions. I see this happen on a regular basis with California's state lottery. California's Super Lotto Plus jackpot is currently 36.0 million, which is higher than the jackpots that Powerball and Mega Millions offer when

Listings of Jackpot > odds?
The odds against winning any substantial prize are steep enough that the logic of considering the odds is rather illogical to me, i'm rationalizing the reason to play. lotteries are a tax on the stupid unless they're playing for entertainment (ie: like $10 to watch a movie), unless the jackpot odds. so when jackpot (pre-tax) odds, then that's the trigger point at where i play. Makes sense in my mind :)

Listings of Jackpot > odds?
If there is one it would probably have been mentioned, but I don't recall ever seeing anything about one. If one exists, it would be a lot of effort for very little information, because it's an extremely unusual situation. The way I see it, if you're going to compare the jackpot to the odds you need to look at the actual net, which is usually no more than 40% of the advertised jackpot. The record MM jackpot paid about $230 million in cash. After paying 35% in federal taxes that would have lef

Do you BELIEVE you will win the Powerball or Mega Millions Jackpot?
I hope California does NOT get the Powerball game. In fact, maybe I'll write to various state leaders and the lotto board asking them NOT to include it. What happens is, with these larger games, the ones which have odds over 175 Million to 1 (!), people tend to play them when the jackpots grow very large. The problem is that, with 175 Million to 1 (!) odds, you have virtually no chance of winning them. When people play these long odds games, they siphon off the jackpot from California's regu

formula for predicting lottery numbers
I think you're looking at predicting lotteries differently than those who are trying to do it. You're saying no one can pick the exact results of any lottery drawing using a formula and you're right but predictors on the prediction board aren't trying to do that. They are trying to pick a set of combinations(10-50) within parameters they think will include the next winning combination. If their parameters are right and they covered only a fraction of the possible combinations then they have impr

Time to post my PB logic:
You are exactly right: you may not be able to pick outright winning numbers, but you can eliminate some, but that goes back to the same old problem of what good is it, really, to narrow your odds from 1 in 190 MILLION to 1 in even 5 MILLION? 1 in 5 million - heck 1 in 1 million - is pretty stout odds. For example, if a number has hit 3 times in the last 5 games, do you think it will continue to be hot? The odds say no. Consequently, if a number has gone 55-60+ games without being hit, when
