Do some number combinations have better odds?
That is a great idea mc, I would love to have Thriftys wisdom, but I'm satisfied to take what little I can get and mix it with my intuitive power to produce number combinations with better odds. I put a big number 8 on the back of a card, and carry that with me at all times.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Just so you know, Ronnie, you'r not the first one to think that, and there have been plenty of people who did computer analysis' of billions upon billions of random draws. There is no predicatability to the patterns that occur. The patterns either occur, or do not occur, completely at random over the long run. If you claim that you are not basing your future predictions off of past results, then what is the relevance of all evens being due , or all odds being due ? And what are y

Does anyone re-play their QP numbers?
Oh, I don't mind playing at all. So, I just have to submit a couple of sets of numbers or what? I've never really participated in anything like this for the same reasons I've already mentioned...they might hit and may not be in the system. I'd be willing to bet that somebody's numbers here at Mad Dog's Challenge have matched up at some point...even if it's 4+1. I see where luck can beat these odds every time with no sweat, so I'm still working on my relationship with luck. L.L.

Euphoria
Ahhhh, your joking right? Maybe your not spending enough on those tickets to realize the odds are stacked against you. Once you start spending $50-$100. per week you will get used to the routine of not winning. I buy the 10 draw cards and sometimes don't check them til long after the 10 draws are over. I recently replayed my 10 line QP for 10 draws and afterwards realized that they returned $7. on a $100. expense and I thought that was very cool. That is the biggest winner I have had in se

Does anyone re-play their QP numbers?
While I occasionally do play QP's, I don't replay a QP on a playslip. There's just so many combinations, it doesn't matter. Even in a small game like a Cash 5 game, you may have some smaller wins, but those numbers may never all come in. The best thing about playing 10 lines each draw is that it gives you 9 extra chances (small chances) over playing 1 line. You still will probably lose more (a lot) than you win unless you hit for $10,000. Did you know that if your state has a Pick 4 game you hav

MM jackpot $47M/$36.1M and PB jackpot $50M/$33.3
ticket sales should tell the true story of prices difference effect on total sales. Don't be too sure. Several times NY lotto has had a higher advertised jackpot than MM, and occasionally a higher cash value (which NY never advertises). Lotto also offers odds that are more than 7 times better. Both games cost $1. Sometimes the 2nd place lotto prize is even bigger theh MM's. Without fail, MM still sells far more tickets than lotto. Of course people may think of MM as the big jackpot game

Do some number combinations have better odds?
BTW people have tested things like that on things like a Roulette wheel, which has almost the same odds. The result was that in the short term, everything looked skewed and random, but taken as a whole, the larger the sample, the closer it matched a normal distribution. What that means is that in the long term results are predictable but in the short term they aren't. You'll never be able to more acurately predict when one of these events than a RNG on a PC can. Because it's all random.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Just because it's an average of on in 38.19 doesn't mean that you can't hit it in one draw, two draws, etc. That's what variance is. In the short term, anything can happen. Some things are more or less likely, but anything can happen in the short term. In the long term, anything can potentially still happen, but it becomes next to impossible. Beating those odds by more than just a marginal amount in 50,000 draws would probably be a 1 in 100000000000000000000000000000 propisition (I just made up

Do some number combinations have better odds?
No problem. You should know I'm not trying to hate, and I'm certainly not trying to be negative, I'm just trying to spread knowledge. And I know there's no way to better your odds, but there are ways to increase Expected Value. Whenever I play Lottery, I choose lots of high numbers to avoid splitting the JP if I do win. That's my 2 cents. That's just the gambler in me. When I gamble, I only do so at an advantage, but I consider lottery entertainment rather than gambling. I still try to m

Seeking book that explains lottery for laymen
Spending that kind of money in one day on lottery tickets can be quite a hassle even if you're only buying quick picks. If you're wheeling or making personal picks based on some other parameters then you have to make out play slips which require some advance planning. Before I retired I participated in such a scheme to play 500 lines with a co-worker who convinced eight other to contribute $50 if we would come up with the 500 lines and make out the play slips. Working two evenings after work
