N.Y. woman claims $70 million Powerball jackpot
Tara Ramirez doesn't know what she's going to do after claiming a $70 million Powerball jackpot.
But with an eight-figure nest egg, the Hartsdale woman can do just about anything she wants.
Ramirez, 37, was presented a ceremonial check for the top prize in the multi-state lottery game Thursday at Dairydel on South Central Avenue in the Hartsdale section of Greenburgh, New York. On Feb. 24, she visited the store and played the winning numbers: 6, 11, 42, 53, 54 and the Powerball number 7.

Anyone else find the jump in MM j/p surprising?
similar problem w/ pic.6 in jersey, very rare for it to hit at less than 6mil.
more often than not it hits in the 12/18 range, thought about waiting for it to get to 8mil. before i play,
if so i would have to pay more attn.to budget tracking,
and then the odds don't change, just the # of tix sold.

Winning Strategy Found in Advantage Plus! Win Guaranteed!!
Two out of eight is a very poor guess. If you would say 3/8 right, then it was be playable.
From UK lottery: Thunderball offers you the best chance of winning up to 500,000 on a 1 National Lottery game - the top prize is fixed and it never has to be shared**. Simply select 5 main numbers from 1 to 39 and 1 Thunderball from 1 to 14.
There also is a powerball, that makes 2/8 even poorer.
You showed a way to decrease your odds and make losses!

Will Powerball roll over?
If ticket sales are $20.4 million, there is only a 5.9% chance the jackpot will be hit in any drawing. With a 94.1% chance of the jackpot rolling, it really doesn't take much thought to say the jackpot will roll. Those voting the jackpot will roll are just stating the obvious and those saying the jackpot will be hit are just guessing.
will it actually make it to $80 million for Saturday 4/7/12?
I read a figure of 32.5% of ticket sales goes to the jackpot so with a current cash value of 4

Texas Lottery approves new game to start in fall
Yeah, I'm diggin' this game, too...so far. However, the payouts, in terms of how many numbers are matched, look pretty decent. I'm anticipating what the cost will be and hope it's a dollar just like everything else is. If so, I'm in there like swimwear! The thing about this, though, is that a person is highly unlikely NOT TO MATCH ANY NUMBERS or ALL TWELVE.
However, my gears are already grinding on a strategy to implement on this game based on what I've already saved from the link. I really

do you think pb jp will pass the previous mm jp?
not anytime soon, and if it does it will have to roll more times to get there,
w/2$ tix most reg. players that would be happy with the starting JP are gonna play the cheaper game,
JP odds being = , who is going for the 2$ game, cept maybe florida, and even there folks close to the border may still pass on it,

Does anyone play their state lotteries any more?
I play Weekly Grand myself. Only $52K but not bad odds. I was winning the $25 prize pretty regularly when it first started, but that fell off, and I've had no wins at all of late.
I haven't played WC2 in ages. I never won on it.
IMHO the state games in Idaho are kinda sucky compared to other states.

Will Powerball roll over?
With odds similar to those of MM, there is no logical reason why it shouldn't roll over as many times as MM. The fact that that fewer people are playing it because of its higher price should make it roll over even more. The frequent wins right after rising its price was unusual and came at a bad time since they were hoping to generate larger jackpots and convince everyone that a higher price offered some advantages.
When MM went to it present format in 2005, they said jackpots could approach
