Uff Da, since I am not an attorney, I was only repeating what's been told to me about writing a will or other official document. However, since you sent yourself an email it's possible it would be accepted. I have no idea if the IRS would accept an email.

I would agree, but how do you know he/she can afford to help them now? I do see what you are saying, however. Even

Would you ever.....
I want to say I wouldn't play after that...I mean, what would be the point? A lot of people here talk about winning and heading to Vegas, I don't see much point in that, either. Most anything you could win in Vegas is going to be chump change compared to a lottery jackpot.
There have been people who have hit more than once - but one is a lady in New Jersey who won the jackpot twice and n9ow lives in a mobile home on her social security.
People who play just to have a bet going on someth

POLL: Low profile or flaunt it?
I would keep the same profile I have now. Just with more security.

Ohio Rolling Cash5 is on a roll again
Stack,
I don't know about these lottery conspiracy theories. I've noticed there's no honor among a group of dishonest people, usually one of them feel cheated and exposes the rest. When that Indiana lottery security guy trusted his two friends to buy the roll of scratch-off tickets that won the jackpot a couple of years back they wanted a third of the winnings instead of what he had suggested and the whole scheme was exposed. They all ended up with nothing and went to jail.
Knowing how

Who Is Really Going To Teach You How To Win??
There are 3003 possible combinations using 15 numbers and only one can have all 5 numbers so any reduction no matter how sophisticated it looks can eliminate that one combo. Wheels are a good way to play a large group of numbers in Pick-5 or Pick-6 games as long as you understand most of your combos can't win anything because only 5 or 6 numbers are drawn.
That's one of the false security of wheeling. Your chances of having all five winning numbers from a pool of 39 in a group of 15 is sli

How much would it take to live your dream?
My dream has nothing to do with money. Obviously, from the time on this post I wish I could just fall asleep!
However, if I won $3 million cash/after tax I'd be just fine. $1 million would be okay, a second million would be nice to invest for security, but I also want to share.
Sure, I'd like a billion dollars so I could buy enough land for an animal sanctuary and billions more to feed hungry people all over the world. But I know a small amount like $1 million would change my life

does age play a factor when winning the jackpot?
I just can't see how someone, at any age, can blow $10 million unless he's a real idiot. I realize we often read about winners who were afflicted with the Jack Whittaker syndrome, but they have to be the exception. The only unexpected expenses one might have is an uninsured medical procedure, but the first thing one should do after collecting the check is to make sure he has lots of protection.
I also don't think anyone at any age would need to work, unless he chooses to do so. Unless you

no more lottery
I very rarely ever borrowed money period, let alone for the lottery. That could get you in a lot of trouble later, especially if you win. I think most people always find it hard to part with their hard earned money, especially when it comes to gambling. I know I hate to lose it to the lottery. However when I do win I will not be thinking about those losses that will pale in comparison to the drastic new lifestyle that I have envisioned for so long.
The financial security of knowing that money

does anyone save their losing tickets in a shoebox
Babyneeds$ - I like your way of thinking!! I wish it were true, but Coin Toss is correct IMHO. Nobody will let you write-off a lottery ticket as a donation to charity.
Regarding keeping a ledger, Coin Toss, I've read that's important to do. The IRS knows that it's easy to gather a bunch of scratch-offs out of the trash. However, like Jarasan wrote on another subject, less than 2% of returns are actually audited. It's just that once you raise that red flag, you will be branded, so it might
