Buying More Tickets Does Not Increase Your Odds.
because the odds of you winning the game would be %100. not%50. ie increased buy buying more tickets
this is an argument over what question is being asked. you could go for ever buying tails and heads always coming up, i could go for ever buying heads and tails and always breaking even.
you are just arguing semantics, why buy anything but the winning 6 numbers is your real point.

Buying More Tickets Does Not Increase Your Odds.
If that were true and you played 5,000 tickets then the ods would be 35,000 to one.
The whole concept is a fairy tale.
Thrifty is right, each individual ticket (one line of numbers) is up against the very same odds, 175,000,000 to one.
The theory above would only work if more than one winning set of numbers were drawn.

Buying More Tickets Does Not Increase Your Odds.
It increases the odds, but not much. Depending on what game:
one ticket- 175 mill to 1
50 tickets 175 mill to 50
This is why they suggest you play 50$ at one time, rather then over several weeks. Of course i don't listen.

When Mega Millions Goes To $2/Ticket
regarding sales of tickets...i think MUSL is assuming(and hoping, and betting) that if somebody decides to play the MM instead of PB they will automatically play 2 MM tickets...as opposed to 1 PB ticket...if people do this the original sales cap agreement can be easily reached...but will this be the case? who knows...does this statment make sense to everybody? if the MM price increases to $2...people will not have the choice to opt volume over cost/prize payout increase.
is this a run on sente

Need some help on Keno
i wouldnt change games just because someone else got lucky,
your're a lot more likely to lose money faster paying keno than playing lotto, as the amount of draws you can enter per day are astounding.
i do play keno and its my biggest cost for tickets, i dint even try hard and theres plenty of money gone. i like it because you can vary the odds/ chances of getting paid. from pretty sure to win with spot 3, to only in me dreams spot 10. and i change bets depending on my mood.

Weak Powerball Sales?
I fully agree with you on this and tend to believe that it benefits the people who actually run the organization more than others. If we consider all the money a state's lottery takes in versus the payouts, it's kind of a bad deal for players in the long run. I have said since day one that the lotteries can definitely afford to pay out lots more than they do...all while still generating very, very good profit. That's the reason I don't mess with 'em any more. The odds are no good in any way, sha

Weak Powerball Sales?
I'll stand by it.
There's no such thing as a free lunch, just a lunch that somebody else is paying for. (Either the tax payer, or future generations)
Same idea, of course.
And the Powerball will grow faster once the MM is won, or it goes much higher than MM. I think the sales are slow b/c the MM is higher, has a lower price and the same odds. Given a choice between the two, most people will play MM if the JP is the same.

I have 2 experiments for the scratchers to try..
Experiment 1 (SRX code) - It seems to me that there is a greater chance of a winner right after or before the srx code appears than any other code. I would like to see this as a percentage. My own experience isn't enough to verify my theory so if you guys are interested....If you come accross the srx code, buy the next ticket and give me your results. I would actually like to do this with all the codes just to see what the results are.. Any takers?
Experiment 2 (cycle purchasing) - It se
