Superstition versus Logic.
logic- no ticket means no chance of winning unless one decide to sue some lottery syndicates for one reason or another
luck- if winning the jackpot with odds of millions against you is not lucky then I don't know what luck means.
Sorry but I don't know much about NFL, I am in UK. Football=soccer

'Ordinary' Louisiana couple claims $1M Powerball prize
From the Article:
The Powerball game underwent several enhancements last month to create bigger jackpots, more millionaires and better odds of winning. In addition to a price increase to $2 per play, the game's match-5 prize quadrupled from $200,000 to $1 million.
It didn't QUADRUPLE it QUINTUPLED! LOL .... Just thought I would point that out.

$336 million Powerball ticket sold at R.I. supermarket
I am a black conservative republican. So I better start ducking these bombs that are being launched as well.
I am so sick and tired of the tired cliches and racial epithets. Do we not understand the concept of astronomical odds? A person can play the same set of numbers in 10 lifetimes and those numbers never come for them to win a jackpot.
That's why we work and save and invest and only risk spare change on a dream. Sorry to those who have all their eggs in the proverbial basket

powerball ripoff
I really think the reason for the change is because both big games are available in almost all states now, and before the change they were basically the same game. MUSL does't make more money, directly, due to the increased ticket price. MUSL and the states make more money if there's more revenue, but if you don't want to pay the higher price, Mega Millions has a history of even bigger jackpots (and higher cash values). It isn't a scam or a ripoff; it's simply a different game offered to give va

$325 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot increased before draw date
Figuring out what should happen according to probability is easy. Figuring out what will happen is a bit harder.
For the last drawing the advertised jackpot increased $50 million, which was about $33 million in cash. Putting $33 million into the jackpot pool at $0.64 per ticket requires selling a little over 51 million tickets. Since the odds of winning the 2nd place prize are about 1 in 5.1 million we would expect to have had 10 winners.
Expected sales for tonight's drawing suggest sales

Lottery Porn Forum/or/ Digits Gone Wild... LOL
Thanks RL ! You know......it could be fun to put together something like that...... but by someone a lot more creative than the likes of me.
We could also come up with Gang Names .....for groups like the The 10 All Odds Gang and The 10 ALL EVEN Easy Riders etc. ... LOL
The digits do get out of hand sometimes and go on RAMBUNCTIOUS Rampages too....just like that ALL HiGH Group. This could really spice it up around here.
Visual aids .....for us simple folk. LOL

Post your scratch ticket results
Massachusetts is rolling out 4 new lifetime games next week. Top prizes are- $1 tix- $500 a week/life. $2 tix- $1000 a week/life.
$5 tix- $2500 a week/life. $10 tix- $5000 a week/life.
All jackpot winners have cash option. Print run on each is 40 million tickets with only 10 top prizes for each game! So one in 4 million odds, better than powerball but far worse than many other Mass instant tix.

For those who put too much money into the lottery...
Very good conclusion. Same conclusion I arrived at this year. It's so hard to win a jackpot game that cost control is a big part of playing. I usually play one line on each game. If I win a few bucks, then I'll play 2 lines on Texas Lotto and Texas 2 Step. I always only play one line on PB and MM. If Texas 2 Step rolls over 500k, then I divert money from the other games to play heavy on it, because it has the lowest odds of all the jackpot games.
I just realized at the end of 2011 that I was

New York Dream Team 2/1/2012 - 2/29/2012
Yeah Suri I got a small box it last night thank, that sum 11 finally showed up
I was about to drop it until Long Odds posted the reminder to play it.
I like 290 and 335 for the repeat sum 11 or maybe CT's 996 (sum 24) will travel down the Merritt or I95 in time for the midday draw.

So why has the price for Powerball tickets gone up anyway?
The $2 Bingo scratchers were the most popular scratch-off games at the time so the lottery decided to create Lot 'O Play because it looked something like Bingo. Lot 'O Play didn't get lots of play so it was back to the drawing board.
KY has the $2 Three line Lotto where I get 3 lines and can win by matching 3 numbers on any line and/or matching any five numbers within the 3 lines. While I get lot 'o play, I don't get lot 'o winners. The game will go into the history books after two more drawi
