Would you go For Humans to draw the Balls?
Absolutely not. Lotteries go to great lengths to assure all balls weigh in at certain weight tolerances, dimensions, etc., handled by lottery officials performing drawings with gloves, plus other security precautions. A Joe off the street could dent or damage balls they touch thereby totally undoing all precautions lotteries rigorously undertake to make sure all drawings are random. Pre and post testing is done as an additional assurance that no one has tampered with ballsets inserting/ex

Wonder where the other half of 390 mill is?
As to the original question, I like the idea of a good mystery! Not drama per se but a good ole fashion mystery! Who knows but the claimant :) I could care less about the persons story about how they ran in for a milk or a bottle of gin, and miraulously chose to play that night for the first time! Give me a person who had a stradegy and been a faithful player, Tell me its a Lady that had the common sense to seek counsel for financial and security. She doesnt need to be a mum of six or ha

Florida Results - An error?
All info you see on the lottery web sites was entered by a human being at some point. I believe the FL Lottery web site is run by an outside agency, so I do not think there is a direct data link to the FL Lottery central computers. In fact, I think it would be a security problem for lotteries to connect their web sites directly to their central databases. That being said, a smart design would have results and prize info for web, phone, press releases, etc. all derived from the same source

MM Winner Press Coverage
I can see how worry would get the better of a person. I sum up the idea of getting financial and security protection prior to claiming as buckling up and having car insurance BEFORE starting the engine. Age has less to do with it then sheer common sense. This guy put the cart before the horse in my opinion. My senses tell me this fellow will be in and out of the media for years to come...

Why it is important to remain anonymous
You win the lottery; you disconnect the phone, you buy disposable cell phones, you move to a better part of town, and a year later things are back to normal. You don't need to leave your town, but you WILL probably want a better home in a safer part of town anyway. Of course, Guesser. I was only responding to what you wrote about staying in the same place and feeling safe. I could pack up and move 3 miles from my house and be in an entirely different neighborhood with celebrities as my nei

Lottery winner followed careful spending plan
Excellent Points.. I don't know about the party either , but I would not be driving a 2002 Jetta... He needs to realize he is a security risk... a kidnapping target. I would opt for a urban assault vehicle ( SUV ) with bulletproof windows and doors at the very least.

2 million dollar Supercomputer?
I just realized something..I said earlier that you could study in depth MegaMillion/PB with a supercomputer, but if you wanted to crack the lotto, the best thing to do is (for the starting payout that megaMillion or Powerball give out, of 12 or 10 million) is to study and try to crack the state's Pick6 6/49...Wait 'till it grow and hit it a couple of times or different states, and you will get what mega million or powerball starting jackpot gives out..It is not advisable to go after MegaMillion

signing your tickets
From my state website lottery, the procedure when more then one person claims on the winning amount. Only one person need sign it as the primary holder. The primary claimant then must have all other parties file a form with social security and other ID . When the funds are distributed, its distributed based on the amount of claimants for that ticket claim. Whether its a trust or not, all names and identity must be validated /verified thru the lottery . More often then not its to catch any past d

Lotto 5/25: New Game Idea
One thing is they take tax out. When the PB is 100million and the cash option is 50 and the tax on THAt is 20, that leaves 30 million. Most people could live lavishly for the rest of their life with that much. It's about power and security and attention. Also when it's over 100 usually the News keeps mentioning it so more people who weren't thinking about it go play. I'd definitely try any new game they come out with. The percentages are meant to be of the prize pool total.. so 7.5 percent of

Antigua gets favorable WTO gambling ruling over U.S.
The United States has suffered a new setback in a four-year-old legal battle with Antigua and Barbuda over U.S. restrictions on Internet gambling, a U.S. trade official said on Thursday. At issue is an April 2005 World Trade Organization ruling against U.S. prohibitions on online horse race betting. Since then, the U.S. Congress has passed additional legislation to ban certain financial transactions related to gambling over the Internet. Gretchen Hamel, a spokesman for the U.S. Trade Repre
